'Trash'

Spike's Bitches 42: Which question do you want me to answer first?

[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risqué (and frisqué), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

We won’t stop until everyone is gay.

I don't think I've ever seen a human with that large of a mouth. Really. You could fit a baby in there. And not a newborn, either. A large baby.

Anyone else have the following pop to mind?

Oh, but "baby fish mouth" is sweeping the nation? I hear them talking.

There was something on Yahoo yesterday about that. Some spokesperson for the women said they chose to wear the bikinis because the bikinis were less restrictive and that the men wear shirts because the various countries wanted to have somewhere to put the name of countries, numbers, and name of athletes.

The women were required to wear bikinis (of a certain skimpiness, even), but apparently they've relaxed the rules due to the protests of the Indian team.

Giant Beer Glass

Pfft. Ain't got nothing on the steins at the House on the Rock. On a related note, I have a friend who chug an entire pitcher in 5 seconds flat. He usually does his Jabba the Hut impression just before. Yes, he's a rugger, I know you are shocked. IIRC, meara got to witness that feat a few years ago...

jilli, I'm bookmarking all those clicky links.

Our wings are not tired

Sean, been thinking about you a lot. Yes, I'm really looking forward to seeing you when we get back. I got the contract for Beverly Hills in e-mail so that will get signed when I return and we'll have a ton of work to get rolling on.

I'm also thinking we just need to have an evening and play some boardgames.

Say hello to Squidward for me, ND. Owen keeps seeing the ads for the cruise and wants to go on the "Spongebob Boat." Unfortunately, there aren't enough drugs in the world to get me on there. Yet.

You know, I thought the same thing. Oddly enough I'm not a big fan of kids, despite the fact that I do so much work on kid's shows. However, Nickelodeon and the cruise line have done a great job of having the cruise be for families while still having a ton of stuff just for the adults, and the Adventure Ocean program that they have means that the kids are very well entertained and looked after so the adults can have some time on their own.

Also, the big orange Nickelodeon splat on the side of the ship just looks cool.

Now tagless for your comfort.

That is good to know, for future reference. There will be a certain amount of activities of this sort because of you know...having kids and all. But if we can minimize our own brain leakage and have some fun with the sprog, it will be money well spent.

The Disney cruises are also really well done from this standpoint. Lots of adult things to do while the kidlets have their own activities. Would definitely do that again.

Punishingly Intricate

Happiest Wedding Day, GC and your soon-to-be (or, maybe now she is???) wife!!!

I used to use fat free 1/2 & 1/2 as a sort of false calorie economy. I decided that I'd rather have the fat than the corn syrup and switched back to regular. It's not like I use more than a couple of teaspoons a day anyway.

Happy Wedding Day, Glamcookie and DW!

we could form a brute squad. one with fashion sense.

Hee. I'm envisioning Andre the Giant traipsing through the forest trailing bolts of cloth, somehow...getting them tangled in the underbrush...

Just wait until his parents invite you back and not him because they like you better. So there!

YEAH! I mean....wait...

I don't need Craigslist ads, PLEASE; I just wanted to share my @@, so that all may marvel in its sheer beauty.

t is sad Steph is not in my job, where I get random recruiters calling me out of the blue, and I have no idea where they got my info

I like that picture of the gymnastics boys without their shirts on, but why are half of them in the back row hiding?? What's up with THAT?!?! GET THOSE BOYS IN FRONT!

I'm not surprised Raj is getting marriage proposals. Damn, boy is adorable. Did you see the profile where he was doing yoga??

I’m responsible for my own happiness? I can’t even be responsible for my own breakfast! (Bojack Horseman)

Thanks, guys, for the help! I passed along my rough draft with your comments and Tom ended up sending this:

Thank you for your swift reply; I'm pleased to hear the position is still available. As far as my status is concerned, due to a reorganisation and force reduction, my current position has been eliminated, and I'll be leaving [company] on Friday August 15th. I'll be stepping up my job search significantly in the coming weeks, as this certainly impacts my time horizon for wanting to start something new.

Much more succinct than what I'd advanced!

Friends don't let friends read "Atlas Shrugged"

Re Phelps - have you seen what he eats? 8,000 to 10,000 calories per day! he needs that big mouth to shovel in the food. (taking a moment to envy him his metabolism)

The gymnasts are ... um ... lost my train of thought there.

I was watching last night and saw the one gymnast who fell from the rings - one hand slipped, he tried to do his dismount, and ended up falling. ow!

Jilli and GG - last year Tahari had a number of nice Goth-friendly jackets. Even discounted they were too expensive for my taste (as well as being unfindable in my size), but you might keep an eye out for them (eBay? discount places?).
