But I still say if all the other apartments were full of women, and there were 2 guys, they wouldn't make them "the boys"
there have been a few groups of males in my life referred to as "the boys". There's some friends of D's dad who live together who everybody seems to call "the boys". When we had two guy roommates sharing a room in our house we called them "the boys" (but also, "Los Hermanos" and "those dickheads"). And among my group of close friends in Chicago, a lot of the time we referred to our husbands as "the boys" especially when they were building slot cars or model rockets.
Somewhere there is an Indian team that plays as the Whiteys, complete with Colonel Sanders-like mascot.
Is there REALLY? Because that would be magnificient.

That is so awesome! My siblings used to get into a fight over Chief Illiniwek (RIP) because sister said the half-time performance was a mockery of native american ritual and how would people feel if a sports team was called "the popes" and a guy in a white robe and a pointy hat came out on the field and did a mock mass. My brother said, "that would be great!"
Found them! It's the University of North Colorado and here is their Cafe Press page. [link]
Only as a joke, though, Trudy--U of Northern Colorado is the Bears, apparently...
It looks like they were an intramural team that last played in 2003 but still totally awesome.

Yeah, it was an intramural team. Intermural? The kind that only plays on campus.
No, it's not official--it's one of the intramural teams.
The Fighting Whities.
On the other hand it was only recently that I found out "midget" is as bad a derogatory term as any.
When I read the headline yesterday about there being protests over the new Ben Stiller movie (called "Jungle...." something; I disremember), I assumed it was because Robert Downey Jr.'s character does the whole fake black thing. I didn't find out until this morning that it was over the whole "retard" thing that Ben Stiller's character does.
We saw a preview of it before TDK, and I think they left the "retard" thing out of the trailer, because I don't remember it at all.
It sounds like a dumb-ass movie all the way around, but the whole faking being retarded subplot seems extra dumb-ass, even for a Ben Stiller movie.
(Okay, I *love* Dodgeball. That Ben Stiller movie can stay.)
I can only judge satire after I've seen it. Some reviews I've seen said it's worthless and some said it's awesome satire. FWIW, I thought the Jack Black thing was the real issue, too. His character is sort of a Russell Crowe type who undergoes a "pigment augmentation" in order to play a black man.
Have these people NOT seen The Ringer???
