Well, then, this is a day I'll feel good to be me.

The artist formerly associated with cupcakes.

I'd totally name a daughter Pipistrelle. I think.

Oh, that would be so charming!

Nyarg. Revisions on chapter 9, done! Onward to the final chapter, which I suspect is going to take a bit more work. But my goal is to have the second half of the manuscript off to my beta readers by tomorrow, which would give me next week to do the final polishing and tweaking.

Allyson, after I get my manuscript sent off to my editor, I want to read about Sam.

Why did Darth Vader cross the road? To get to the Dark Side!

Dang would you look at these two amazing writers in our midst? Seriously, it makes me glad to know that sometimes good things come to good people in this world.

"I remember when they eventually introduced that drug kingpin who murdered people and smuggled drugs inside snakes and I was like 'Finally. A normal person.'” —RahvinDragand

I went to my first fair in ages tonight, and had a blast. Rode the Tilt-a-Whirl and the big Ferris Wheel, listened to some music, ate a super-nummy roasted ear of sweet corn, and brought home a candy apple. Maybe it's just that I'm older and less timid, but the carnies seemed much less like refugees from Something Wicked This Way Comes than I remember...

Our wings are not tired.

And we're fortunate enough to have more than those two!

Matt, I love a good fair and haven't been to one since I visited the LA County Fair in 2001 or 2002.

"And that's why God Almighty gave us fire insurance and the public defender".

Jessica, I hope you're family is alright.

tommy, it's good to have you back.

Guess who caused an of hour power out for her flat this morning, until the roommates' brother woke up and fixed her stupidity? Yeah, moi.

Also, that power out? When I really, really, really have to work. Hello, new week. Nice to have a good start with 'ya.

Shir, I insist on seeing this fun-filled morning as spending the entire week's bad luck in one big annoying pack, leaving the rest of it to be as wonderful and stress-less as it can possible be.

Also, according to the Buffista Calendar, today is Sophia Brooks's birthday. See how the day is already better?

Happy birthday, Sophia! With lots of wishes for a great day and a wonderful year!

You had a week of bad luck? I'm sorry to hear that, and wish it away too.

Happy birthday, Sophia!

Sometimes I think I might just move up to Vermont, open a bookstore or a vegan restaurant. Adam Schlesinger, z''l

Happy Birthday, Sophia!

I am on crazy sleep schedule. Slept until 2 in the afternoon today. Then fell asleep around 9, and woke up around midnight, fully awake. Still not able to get back to sleep. I tried having a glass of wine, since sometimes that makes me sleepy, but it didn't really help.

Sorry for the hard time taming the sleep-beast, Hil.

There were bombings in Spain. Are there any Buffistas from Spain?
