Shir, I insist on seeing this fun-filled morning as spending the entire week's bad luck in one big annoying pack, leaving the rest of it to be as wonderful and stress-less as it can possible be.
Also, according to the Buffista Calendar, today is Sophia Brooks's birthday. See how the day is already better?
Happy birthday, Sophia! With lots of wishes for a great day and a wonderful year!
You had a week of bad luck? I'm sorry to hear that, and wish it away too.
Happy birthday, Sophia!
Happy Birthday, Sophia!
I am on crazy sleep schedule. Slept until 2 in the afternoon today. Then fell asleep around 9, and woke up around midnight, fully awake. Still not able to get back to sleep. I tried having a glass of wine, since sometimes that makes me sleepy, but it didn't really help.
Sorry for the hard time taming the sleep-beast, Hil.
There were bombings in Spain. Are there any Buffistas from Spain?
None that are delurked that I know of, Shir.
ION my love affair with SPACED continues. So much so, I'm rationing the episodes out so I don't run out too soon. Oh well, I guess when I finish it for the first time, I'll have to rewatch, and dive into the extras. Oh, the horror.
Yay for Spaced!! I'm just bummed that I managed to scratch Disc 1 in my multidisc player--I don't have $35 to spend on a replacement set right now. The extras are loads of fun! Have you seen the doc "Skip to the End" yet? Make sure you do after watching all the eps, especially the last few minutes. Right now, my fave ep from S1 is the clubbing ep; it starts out a bit contentious, but ends up with everyone uniting in love of club music (and E).
Shir, there used to be Paul, but I don't think he's been active in a long time. Still, my heart goes out to the bombing victims!
tommyrot, count me among the many who are relieved to see you posting here again.
ION, remember the frozen shoulder I had two years ago, that required a cortisone injection and several months of PT? The same kind of intense pain and immobility has sprung up on my
opposite
shoulder. If so, at least this time I'll try to get prompt intervention, which might lessen the time it takes to get back to normal.
The good thing about frozen shoulder is that it will generally cure itself over the period of a year, but treatment can lessen that by quite a bit. So life could be worse.
Of course, I have my very first job interview tomorrow. Such good timing, but since it's my off shoulder I shouldn't have to worry about being unable to shake hands. AND, I can get my left hand up to keyboard height without too much pain.
Happy birthday, Sophia!!
Oh, ugh, Theo.
I'm glad you're not dead in a ditch, tommyrot (what??)
My parents grew up in Chelsea, Massachusetts. I thought Joni Mitchell's song was about that Chelsea when i was little. My mom set me straight, which was kind of depressing.
I've never consciously thought about it not being about Chelsea MA until just now....
Happy Birthday to Sophia!
Ouch, Theodosia. I hope it resolves quickly, and best wishes for the interview.
Wake up for tommyrot [link]

As always, I love Nilly's viewpoint.
