Natter 60: Gone In 60 Seconds
Off-topic discussion. Wanna talk about corsets, duct tape, or physics? This is the place. Detailed discussion of any current-season TV must be whitefonted.
I missed the first 8 minutes or so of 90210 (no, I'm not willing enough to admit I like it to actually TiVo it).
Laura, brenda called him.
Damn, the fall did something to my shoulder. It hurts like a bitch and none of the doctors pay it any attention. Yeah, the injuries still bother me. I discovered that I can feel the cut that connects the two externally visible ones, so I get preoccupied by the thought that a little more force and there'd have been a big flap of my
face
hanging off, instead of just a flap of lip and a hole. Ickiness.
Yow.
It might be worth getting the most-respectable ones tailored? Cheaper than buying new, anyway.
They are old navy jeans. I don't know how much cheaper you can get. (I didn't go to ON today.)
Sean is working on Halloween Horror Nights up at Universal and another big project, so he's been swamped.
That's what I was hoping/figuring. At least the work is going well, if busy.
The only other person I can think to contact regarding tommy is his friend miriam, who came to chicago f2f and used to post as miriame here I think. Unfortunately I do not still have my contact info from that.
We went shopping and i got 70% off already marked down Lands End at Sears stuff. Lavendar cable sweater, $9, two pairs of cropped pants, $7.50 each, 2 pairs of shorts, $6 each. I love Lands End clearance at Sears, especially in malls that don't really fit the LE demographic so there's good stuff on sale on my size.
And then I dropped $60 on jeans at the Gap, which seems outrageous, but they are sexy! I so rarely pay full price for clothes that it feels very strange to do so.
90210 is passing me by for the second time -- I've never seen an episode of the original, and so I see no reason to watch the new one.
DH, Sassafras and I went to walk on the tow path today - we walked at least 8 miles, likely closer to 10 because we went on one of the trails. The weather was fabulous, and we had a lovely picnic by the Potomac. DH and I are wiped. The dog is biting at my pants to try and get me to play when I stand up and walk across the room. I wish I had her energy. Maybe if I sit here very, very quietly, she'll finally puppy-flop.
Perkins, I hope you have a great party. I wish I could be there.
Happy Birthday, Sue!
tommyrot, phone home!
Happy Birthday, Sue!
Now I'm worried about tommyrot, too. I've got his e-mail at work, but it looks like Laura and Brenda have it covered.
Sarameg, don't call him Zool! He'll start acting all, "There is no Sarameg, only Zool..."
The kitten-that-may-be-named-Zephyr does not understand he cannot eat peoplefood, nor can he walk on the keyboard, nor can he shred my bills.
Amarna still hasn't learned she can't walk on keyboards, mostly because I just yell at her when she does it and manages to rearrange my screen layout by pressing some obscure combination of keys.
I've never seen an episode of the original, and so I see no reason to watch the new one
Sparky is me, in spite of the fact that my first online community was a 90210 fangroup on Prodigy. (One of the members was a RL friend of mine from school. I managed to participate actively for a couple of years without being outed. And then Prodigy started charging for the bulletin boards, and the 90210LC faded into obscurity. Makes me glad there was a wider internet to run to when the same thing happened to TT.)
Oh, and I meant to thank Hec for that Eddie Vedder song link! They've been talking about it over at the Tribune, but I always read about it while I was at work and felt weird about downloading the song. It's pretty good, but not as good as Steve Goodman's two Cubs songs ("Go Cubs Go" and "A Dying Cub Fan's Last Request," the second of which will hopefully be obsolete after this postseason!).
Speaking of--way to go Cubs for clinching the division! And the earliest clinch since 1936.
The funniest thing just happened, in a "why are college students sometimes lacking common sense" way...
I asked the stage manager to schedule fittings "every half hour, with a half hour break for lunch". She scheduled them every half hour from 9:00 am - 3:30 pm, then an hour break, then one more fitting at 4:30!! I swear that when I was 19 I would not have done that unless it was an availability thing!
