I am not...I am not the damsel in distress. I am not some case. I have to work this. I've lived in a cave for 5 years in a world where they killed my kind like cattle. I am not going to be cut down by some monster flu. I am better than that. What a wonder...how very scared I am.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

Ha! Thanks, Hil.

At my last job they could easily not notice me missing a day. Honestly, without krav, no one's on it. And even if work noticed, what then? I can't imagine my bosses calling around.

Our wings are not tired.

Work and home would notice my absence at about the same time since I work with DH.

Dude, where's my tommyrot!? I wrote him an email. Does a Chicagoista have a number for him?

The feeling you get when your brain finally lets your heart get in its pants.

90210 question--

Hil beat me to it, but it's right at about 6 minutes in. (yes, I am enough of a geek that I went and starting watching the show.)

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

Mmm...spectators.

And I've got something like 8 pairs of jeans (in various states of respectability) that I can't wear without suspenders.

It might be worth getting the most-respectable ones tailored? Cheaper than buying new, anyway.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

I missed the first 8 minutes or so of 90210 (no, I'm not willing enough to admit I like it to actually TiVo it).

Laura, brenda called him.

Damn, the fall did something to my shoulder. It hurts like a bitch and none of the doctors pay it any attention. Yeah, the injuries still bother me. I discovered that I can feel the cut that connects the two externally visible ones, so I get preoccupied by the thought that a little more force and there'd have been a big flap of my face hanging off, instead of just a flap of lip and a hole. Ickiness.

Yow.

It might be worth getting the most-respectable ones tailored? Cheaper than buying new, anyway.

They are old navy jeans. I don't know how much cheaper you can get. (I didn't go to ON today.)

"We are the Goon Squad and we're coming to town...Beep! Beep!" - David Bowie, "Fashion"

Sean is working on Halloween Horror Nights up at Universal and another big project, so he's been swamped.

That's what I was hoping/figuring. At least the work is going well, if busy.

Cats to become a rabbit should gather immediately now here

The only other person I can think to contact regarding tommy is his friend miriam, who came to chicago f2f and used to post as miriame here I think. Unfortunately I do not still have my contact info from that.

information libertarian

We went shopping and i got 70% off already marked down Lands End at Sears stuff. Lavendar cable sweater, $9, two pairs of cropped pants, $7.50 each, 2 pairs of shorts, $6 each. I love Lands End clearance at Sears, especially in malls that don't really fit the LE demographic so there's good stuff on sale on my size.

And then I dropped $60 on jeans at the Gap, which seems outrageous, but they are sexy! I so rarely pay full price for clothes that it feels very strange to do so.

Librarian Warlord

90210 is passing me by for the second time -- I've never seen an episode of the original, and so I see no reason to watch the new one.

DH, Sassafras and I went to walk on the tow path today - we walked at least 8 miles, likely closer to 10 because we went on one of the trails. The weather was fabulous, and we had a lovely picnic by the Potomac. DH and I are wiped. The dog is biting at my pants to try and get me to play when I stand up and walk across the room. I wish I had her energy. Maybe if I sit here very, very quietly, she'll finally puppy-flop.

Perkins, I hope you have a great party. I wish I could be there.

Happy Birthday, Sue!

tommyrot, phone home!
