Does anyone have a number for tommyrot? I'm kind of worried.
Thanks for the birthday wishes. I am having a party for myself which means I am spending the day cleaning and shopping and preparing food. It's a lot of work. Next year, I'll get Juliana to host my birthday too!
Kitten has the cutest face! I want to give him scritches. What about Zed?
I just left him a voicemail telling him we were worrying
Oh good Brenda.
Thanks Kristin.
I saw a woman at the farmer's market wearing rainbow legwarmers...with wool socks and sandals. One is bad enough, both together maybe a crime against humanity. I thought about yelling at her, since it is my birthday, but decided I wasn't ready to be a cranky old lady
yet.
I love Buffistas, that we look after our own.
I'm in the absurd first-world position of having to decide between going to Africa to climb Kilimanjaro or maybe going to Australia for three weeks next winter. WTF.
That's assuming the financial meltdown and various work issues don't end up with me on the street and unemployed...
Happy birthday, Sue!
Consuela, I'd go for the Australia option!
Add my worries to the tommyrot pile. Thanks for calling him, brenda.
And thanks for the Sean update, Kristin.
Thanks Strega and brenda for checking on tommyrot. I hope things are well and he's just busy.
What's cooler than a kid's show with Biz Markie and Mark Mothersbaugh?
I TOLD you guys that Yo Gabba Gabba rocks! Biz Markie appears fairly regularly on the show with his segment "Beat of the Day."
DH took the kids to dance class. I'm supposed to be grading--can you tell?
In other kid show news, PBS has a new superhero: Word Girl! She has all the power of words. Her sidekick is a monkey named...Capt. Huggyface.
I heard about Word Girl a while ago, and my quest since then has been to find a Word Girl t-shirt in adult sizes.
Consuela, I'd go for the Australia option!
But the Kilimanjaro thing, if it happens, is pretty much a once-in-a-lifetime thing. It would be for just the cost of getting to Africa, which isn't something I'd have the chance at again. Also, Kilimanjaro: this is the only of the seven summits I'll ever have the opportunity or skills to climb.
Basically, if Africa doesn't happen, I'll go to Australia. But I want to know soon, so I can let my friend know, and plan for it all.
