And I myself will be wearing pink taffeta as chenille would not go with my complexion.

'we all walk this earth feeling we are frauds. The trick is to be grateful and hope the caper doesn't end any time soon"

Oh -- last night I forgot to mention that I named my family's first cat Clovis (re Cat named Pippin) -- not after the king, but the wry and elegant Saki character.

“Not dead yet!”

There's always Inuyasha. I'd say Sesshomaru, but that has to be a fluffy white cat with a cranky disposition.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

Also, here's an interesting article about Zappos corporate culture: [link] They offer trainees $2K to leave!

How about the name “Zappo”?

If he gets to be a fat cat, you can always rename him Zeppelin.

not after the king, but the wry and elegant Saki character.

I didn't even know there was a king until just a short while ago. I always think "clovis point people." Hazards of majoring in anthropology/archaeology.

Yeah -- King Clovis followed Pippin, thus that kicked off the memory for me. Just to make things just a little more confusig, Clovis-the-kitty was a girl.

In my defense, I was probably about 12 at the time she got named.

The feeling you get when your brain finally lets your heart get in its pants.

"We are the Goon Squad and we're coming to town...Beep! Beep!" - David Bowie, "Fashion"

I hope all is well in tommyrot land.

I'm also getting a little concerned if Sean is OK (relatively speaking). I know the universe has been kicking his ass in way too many ways, but I don't think I've seen a post of his in over a week. I hope I was just skimming and/or not seeing his posts right in front of me.
