I live within semi-walking distance of a vet (2 or so miles), but the thought of walking with the cat somehow attached to my granny cart makes me scared!
Taxi is probably a better option! They say you can ride the bus with an animal in a carrier, but again, the thought of it just makes me horrified-- the meowing! Everyone looking at me!

Yeah, either get over that or take the cab.... I am lucky that the vet a couple of blocks from me is just fine.
