Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

In a crossword I was doing the other day, the answer for "common name for a cat" was Cleo, which I wouldn't have necessarily thought of.

My cat's name is Clio. I am a little depressed it's seen as common.

I have to confess, I put Clio in first because of you!

I thought for days about that name! It also took me a while to realize that both my cats' names ended in o. Sometimes I would tangle them all up and call for Clico.

Happy Birthday lori!

Happy Anniversary Plei and Paul!

I'm afraid that I'd end up naming a cat something from the Broadway show, like Rumpleteaser or Grisabella.

Huh, I just realized it's after 9 -- I wonder where my super is. It may turn out to be true that I have to be here all day!

Of course as soon as I typed that, he got here.

I'm always surprised at how few people recognize "Bastet" as a cat name. Or as anything at all, for that matter, but come on -- cat-headed goddess! Anybody?

And apropos of nothing at all: I just managed to watch the Les Misbarak link this morning and now can't get that song out of my head. Plus I keep picturing the guy who did the Jean Valjean part and giggling.

Amelia Peabody has a cat Bastet, doesn't she?
