Can't even shout, Can't even cry. The Gentlemen are coming by. Looking in windows, knocking on doors. They need to take seven, and they might take yours. Can't call to mom, can't say a word. You're gonna die screaming but you won't be heard.

I guess you gotta do some stuff to extend the conceit past a season or two.

Not to mention trying to setup a spinoff.

(Though I don't know if the spinoff is off the menu now or what.)

"And that's why God Almighty gave us fire insurance and the public defender".

I may need your help with the whole "thank you cards" etiquette, Americans (because, eh, I guess my country never really heard of it. I'm aware that it is exist, but we really rarely do so here).
I sent an American friend of mine an album of a local artist she couldn't buy abroad as a gift. When it arrived, she asked for my address to send a thank you card.

Today she emailed me she sent one hell of a thank you package, including a dress, nice handmade stuff and chocolates. Now, that's really over the top, isn't it? So what's the etiquette? I mean, if I'll send her something back, because really, that's a whole lot of nice things just for saying thank you, will she send me something back because that's the custom? I don't want to start an endless thank you cards loop.

The feeling you get when your brain finally lets your heart get in its pants.

I DID! Also Lena H. And Summer Glau.

eta: That makes up for the CMM, right?

Shir, I'm not going to give you advice, but yeah that is over the top. Not a standard response in the U.S. any more than in Israel. A dress? Is it possible she thought the dress was perfect for you and was looking for an excuse to give it you?

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

setup a spinoff.

Damn. You never know what will work. I mean just the idea that there might be a spinoff from an idea that just looked like a miniseries to me. I guess that's why I do what I do, and leave the industry to itself. Except for when I whine or send postcards.

That makes up for the CMM, right?

It's a start. Don't rest on your laurels.

Mighty sleepy. Must go to sleep. I have a meeting with a career management service tomorrow. Just got around to reading their website and finding out they're a paid service. Still, they'll review resumes for free, so I won't cancel.

Shir, That sounds like it could escalate totally out of control if it's not there yet. No more things. I'd just respond with a card. And I'd have a hearty and grateful "Oh, that's too much!" inside it.

Okay. Two more zip files sent.

Oh, I'd like to think so, so very much, but this woman never seen a picture of me or knows my size.

Yeah. That's why I'm a little bit afraid sending a real card back. She's very emotional and sensitive, and I don't want to hurt her feelings, but really, I would have done this for everyone.

I bet someecards have something just for this.

'we all walk this earth feeling we are frauds. The trick is to be grateful and hope the caper doesn't end any time soon"

Yeah, wow -- that's a whole lot more than appropriate, for someone you hardly know!

I'd be totally unsure how to proceed, frankly.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

I would totally just email the thanks to cut it off.

Seriously. How did he wind up hot? I mean, seriously.

And that clip was from after David Silver got cool! Or "cool."
