'we all walk this earth feeling we are frauds. The trick is to be grateful and hope the caper doesn't end any time soon"

Yeah, wow -- that's a whole lot more than appropriate, for someone you hardly know!

I'd be totally unsure how to proceed, frankly.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

I would totally just email the thanks to cut it off.

Seriously. How did he wind up hot? I mean, seriously.

And that clip was from after David Silver got cool! Or "cool."

Punishingly Intricate

I think I'm in love with Brian Austin Green.

I thought this was a suggestion for sara's new cat's name! ha

And, sara, I'm glad it worked out. It sounds like you handled the situation as well as could be under the circumstances.

I'm waiting for my friend to come take a walk with me and then dentist and then home! Because there is no electricity in my office today (I found out in a pre-7 am call from my boss). WOOT!

“Not dead yet!”

Belated but heartfelt YAY! for auntiehood, GG!

Kitteh! When we got Nate his kitten a couple of years ago, we named him Jack-Jack because we weren't certain what his superpower was going to be. Turns out it's eating. A lot. And chewing through Nintendo DS cables (a dozen or so, at last count) and speaker wire, and a computer steering wheel peripheral, and one MacBook charging cable, for which I read the boy the riot act.

Dane bramaged beast. (The cat not the boy.)

Okay. Need more coffee.

Nice!

I have to say, my bathroom wall troubles were kind of just what the doctor ordered -- I've been wishing for something to keep me home from work, at least a little bit. This is all assuming they can actually fix it tomorrow, which I am not so sure of -- I imagine the damage will be worse than they think, once they open up the walls....

Art Crawl!!!

Congratulations Burrell!

Also, reading congratulations in Natter before reading Press means that it seemed as though Burrell was being congratulated for spending the morning looking up pictures of Christian Bale.

(That's probably a self-rewarding activity.)

I went to my local library's mystery book club last night and came back all excited for my town's Big Read. We're doing To Kill a Mockingbird and there are going to be all sorts of events for the whole month around it.

I KNOW. Appalling, isn't it?

I watched a lot of streaming 90210 last night. Wow. The fashions were so... did we seriously wear jeans that unflatteringly bad?

Yes.

Trust me, I was shuddering through the pics of the Cabana Boys yesterday-- much in the way of acid wash.

Absolutely. And I still think Katie Holmes looked cute this summer with her jeans pegged, but it really helped that they were neither pleated nor high-waisted!

Coding and Sleeping

I had a pleasant surprise while gassing up my wife's car this morning. The price of gas actually went down 10 cents overnight. I never expected that so soon after Ike.
