Faith: A kid. Angel's got a kid. Wesley: Connor. Faith: A teenage kid born last year. Wesley: I told you, he grew up in a hell dimension. Faith: Right. And what, Cordelia spent her last summer as… Wesley: A divine being. Faith: Uh-huh. Can I just ask--What the hell are you people doing?

Just call me "Siouxsie Shunshine".

I went outside this morning. I can't recall why I thought that was a good idea.

This is me almost every morning. I hate the weather here.

I'm terrifically busy with my ennui.

Okay, our realtor has called. It looks like there was a minor leak around the chimney, where we've had problems before, but other than that, the house is pretty much okay. Our neighbor a couple doors down has a tree on her garage, and it's unknown how much damage that did.

Our realtor sounds a little frazzled.

Now let us crush something soft and watch it fountain blood. That is a girlish thing to want to do, yes?

I'm glad to hear it, Dana -- as much as I'm happy you were out of there before storm season, it must've been just a little mite stressful not knowing what the situation would turn out to be.

The feeling you get when your brain finally lets your heart get in its pants.

I'm so glad everything was mostly okay, Dana.

If you're going through hell/keep on going/don't slow down/keep your fear from showing/you might be gone/'fore the devil even knows you're there

Good news, Dana.

That stop spamming web site skeeves me a little. I hate the idea of someone getting something like that and not having any idea which of their friends they're upsetting. It's just cruel. Or who to take off their list - the assumption that nobody on the wants to be getting them is a little presumptuous.

Okay, turns out it skeeves me more than a little.

That man was going to shank me. Over an omelette. Two eggs and a slice of government cheese. Is that what my life is worth?

Dana, so glad it's minor. I just got an email from my brother (who lives in Houston), they lost a few shingles and have been without power, but that's it. Not too bad.

Come do mine?

I'd love to see you, and if the price is doing some laundry, I could probably deal with it.

I went out to a cool recital today. It's a local music store having their annual rock recital. All the kids who play guitar, bass, keyboards, and drums get put together in bands and play all afternoon. I went because one of my kids from last year was playing bass in 2 of the bands and lead singer in one of them. His mom emailed me and the music teacher and told us about it and invited us. He was so cute.

Now I need to head back out to the grocery store. Whee fun.

Now tagless for your comfort.

Dana, that's great news about the minor damage!

Took Owen to the grocery store today. He and I are bad influences on our purchases. But I managed to talk him into the sugar-free popsicles.

It wasn't supposed to be as humid today. Instead, it was hotter AND more humid. Fun.

I managed to get some more pants. So I now officially have enough pants to wear that fit. My floors and bathroom are now clean.

I'm currently not listening to Sunday's ATC. Every 20 minutes or so there is a station identification part, but dead air the rest of the time. Oops.

Art Crawl!!!

Dana, glad that the old house is mostly okay.

Having another frustrating knitting day.

I've discovered my latent, and in retrospect totally predictable, addiction to Rock Band. This is YAY. But, sadly, it happened on a weekend when I have a lot of homework. I'm playing the game of "finish a mindless stats problem, learn a new song", but the smarter (if less helpful) half of me keeps saying, "it's not really a new song if I just replay that last one..."
