Sometimes I think I might just move up to Vermont, open a bookstore or a vegan restaurant. Adam Schlesinger, z''l

Carly Fiorina just said that women would vote for McCain, because pro-choice women will no longer be held hostage to Roe v Wade politics.

Bwuh?

“Not dead yet!”

I changed out of my pajamas. I consider this a worthy feat. I also have put in a load of sheets and I need to tackle Abby's room, which is, to put it mildly, a Pit of Despair.

I would like to do some writing, but that's best accomplished when there's creativity thrumming through the air. The thrum, I am afraid, she has taken off for a vacation without me. Bitch.

The feeling you get when your brain finally lets your heart get in its pants.

Not only am I wearing outside pants, but I have made it outside. The gas tank has been filled, the ATM has been hit and I am at breakfast. I have Tjs and the farmer's market to go before nap time.

Thrive to spite them

People are going freaking insane around here and the local paper isn't helping.

See, Friday 1 gas station jacked their prices to 5.20/gallong. Which started a panic. There were lines 20 cars line, some jack ass on Saturday threatened a woman with a pellet gun. People are filling their cars and gas tanks and gas stations have run out of gas.

All started on that. Most places went from 3.59 to 3.99. And today there was the headline Gas could go up to 6/gallon later this month with shortages.

Except the information is more -- If the oil refineries have to say closed and if there are transportation issues and if the reserves run out then maybe there could be gas price increase and shortages.

Right now it all seems to be consumer run, at least that was Friday. It's just insane.

Just call me "Siouxsie Shunshine".

It's like that here, too. Friday Hub called me before I came home and suggested I "top off" my gas tank on the way home. Upon arriving at the gas station close to the school, half the tanks were empty, lines were forming, prices were already up close to 20 cents since the morning and the Coke slushie machine was down (I really wanted one!).

Yesterday we went to Ocala to do some shopping and have dinner. Gas had gone up another 10 cents and more of the stations had bags on their pumps.

It's just insane.

You said it.

That man was going to shank me. Over an omelette. Two eggs and a slice of government cheese. Is that what my life is worth?

Laundry is done! Yay! I've also vacuumed. Look at me all productive.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

Ugh -- stuff just fell off of my bathroom windowsill (it's a deep-set window). Like, wall/ceiling stuff into the tub. I guess I should call the super.

"And that's why God Almighty gave us fire insurance and the public defender".

The "Finding Curtains To My Living Room" thing is soooo much harder than I thought, people.

I think I had Real Big Life Decisions that took less time for me to solve.
