Librarian Warlord

I never stay late without pre-planning/warning because of puppy care or a 6 p.m. yoga class. I do make sure I get here before everyone I supervise, though so I set a good example at one end of the day.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

My job is really pretty 9-5, by which I mean 9-5:30. I'm just saying, I'd like to come in at 10 sometimes!

And then there's the thing where my predecessor worked from home three days a week, but I have to get like dispensation from the Pope to work from home!

Meh.

Remember that the frontier of the Rebellion is everywhere. And even the smallest act of insurrection pushes our lines forward.

What are people doing this weekend?

I had some furniture delivered this week, so I'm going to be taking the piles of books off of my floor and shelving them.

I'll also be upgrading my iPhone. Fun!

Our wings are not tired.

My work hours are crazy. My staff arrive between 8 and 9:30 (their call; two of them like to come in at 8 sharp, the other is reliant on pub trans so it varies) and leave by 5:30 unless we're on a special project (which we are now).

My hours? Well....Monday night I was here until midnight, and then turned around and was back in office before 5 AM.

I can sleep in October.

And I'd love to tell you what I am doing this weekend, 'cept I don't know what a weekend is.

Happy Birthday to Billytea and PC!

"This bar smells like kerosene and stripper tears."

People who travel! People who plan the F2F or anyone who travels in groups/with groups! YOU MUST TRY THIS! IT IS FANTASTIC!

Sometimes I think I might just move up to Vermont, open a bookstore or a vegan restaurant. Adam Schlesinger, z''l

What are people doing this weekend?

Most likely working on my research. I've got a few things that are currently pretty hand-wavy that I need to be able to explain fully to my adviser on Monday.

Cats to become a rabbit should gather immediately now here

I am a little bit of a work-a holic, I will admit, and I hate making people disappointed in me. I work late and early at my regular job, too, which led to 3 days this week of working from 6:30 am - 8:40 pm, plus travel time-- so now I am tired and cranky, and I have been doing this to myself since high school (I used to work tirelessly on the school paper, and once ran National Foreign Language Week when my teacher broke her leg. I volunteered (again in high school) to spend the summer cataloging music with our chorus teacher, and I regularly worked 40 hours a week in college, and in the summers in high school) I have to learn how to say no, but at this point, at the theatre, no one is asking, just assuming things will get done.

Now let us crush something soft and watch it fountain blood. That is a girlish thing to want to do, yes?

What are people doing this weekend?

All the homework I haven't gotten to all week because it's been so hellaciously busy at work.

Do I sound excited?

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

I'm excited this weekend because I don't have any plans in between tonight and Sunday afternoon. I hope to sleep a lot, and then we'll see. Sunday is a coworker's wedding.

Greece's financial crisis threatens to take down all of Western civilization - a civilization they themselves founded. A rather tragic irony - which is something they also invented. - Jon Stewart

I'm seeing a show tonight. Tomorrow birthday brunch w/the fam. Sunday is a first birthday party.
