Are there any theatre peeps around?
I need to share my indignation that the University Theatre Department where I work, part-time, for $7,000 a year as the costume shop manager, with the help of 2 students and one adult for even less time, has now hired a full time PROPS PERSON. There is a production manager/ technical director who is full time, an assistant technical director full time, and now a props person full time!! Not that I even want to work full time for them, but how can props be a higher priority for full-time work than costumes!
Always makes me feel like some exotic bird to be stared at.
Well, maybe if you didn't keep talking about your igloo, people wouldn't do that...
I finally booked my flight to Vegas for next month.
Any chance you'll be there the 10th?
Weekend: Tonight we have friends coming in from Seattle to stay until Monday. On Sunday night, a cousin is coming in from Vancouver, BC, who stays until Wednesday a.m. I've pulled the only connection-strings I have in DC for a behind the scenes private tour at the Supreme Court.
In the middle of all that, I hope to go to the Yappy Hour with Sass where bonny teaches, and the DH has a frisbee tournament somewhere out in VA.
Also, Happy Birthday Billytea!
Happy Birthdays, P-C and Billytea!!!
"What's a warrior without his pride? Nothing. My favorite warrior is Achilles -- No! Ajax. Ajax is so beast-mode. Ajax is so cool they named a soap after him. It sucks that Paris killed Achilles. Paris is such a noob."
Big Ajax or Little Ajax? There are two.
And Paris is such a noob. An emo noob.
Sophia--that is all kinds of wrong, IMO!
Right next to the Isle of Slash.
Now I want to see that map as a Risk-style game so you can play out how Facebook invades and takes over the Friendster peninsula and our new Google overlords sweep across the steppes.
I had to explain emo to some coworkers yesterday. And that goth!=emo.
I'm the only one without teenagers at home. Parents these days!
