Everybody dies, Tracey. Someone's carrying a bullet for you right now, doesn't even know it. The trick is to die of old age before it finds you.

happy birthday, nutty!

I'm awake but would happily go right back to bed if possible.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

Happy birthday, Nutty!!

Wait, I'm not sure I understand. Are you saying I should worry about the calories first, then worry about cutting out the carbs? Because I'm actually not finding it that hard to count calories.

If you're doing a low-carb diet, you're not supposed to have to worry so much about the calories. If you're going to lose weight, you have to lower calories somehow, and at least for me, a low-carb diet made that pretty easy. But that's obviously not true for everyone, and there are a million ways to reduce the number of calories you're eating. The important thing is to find the way that doesn't make you insane. But like bon bon said, the first few days are always hard no matter what.

Remember that the frontier of the Rebellion is everywhere. And even the smallest act of insurrection pushes our lines forward.

The Onion knows that it's Nutty's birthday, too.

Now tagless for your comfort.

I don't think all calories are created equal. Some foods will "last" a lot longer and help you maintain blood sugar levels. Protein is better than carbs for long term satisfaction and complex carbs are better than simple carbs. Sorry if this makes it more complicated.

Does anyone have recommendations for iPod (any mp3 player, really) earbuds that actually FIT? Apparently I have small, skinny ear canals and any round earbuds just flee in terror.

Links would be keen if anyone has earbuds they like.

Now let us crush something soft and watch it fountain blood. That is a girlish thing to want to do, yes?

Tep, have you tried the sport earbuds that go over the ear, like these: [link] ? I'm completely incapable of using any plain earbuds for exactly the reason you're describing, but I love over-the-ear thingies to death.

(But please note that the above link is a stylistic illustration and isn't my actual buds, because I'm an audio imbecile who is happy with the 10-dollar drugstore kind.)

I have the same problem, plus my ears are apparently delicate flowers and so far I haven't managed to use ear anything that don't irritate the hell out of them. Even talking on a phone for a long time makes them hurt.

Ever since I drove in the pouring rain of Hanna, my car smells like something died in it. Sigh.
