I'm apple-shaped and carry most of my weight in my belly and boobs. My waist line is the bane of my existence. The pants I get to fit my waist slide right off my hips.

And I can't wear low-rise jeans AT ALL!
An 8 1/2"-9" rise hits me right about my hip bones. Anything lower and the evidence of the two pregnancies makes itself well-known. Plus, I have a mole I really need to have removed that sits right at my hipbone and if I'm not careful, it can get extremely irritated by a ill-placed waistband.
At the moment the only bras I wear are Champions, mostly because of my long torso and big rib cage -- they have the longest straps on the market.
Seriously, I have the body of a 6' woman and the legs of a 5'5" woman. It's so annoying.

What Toddson said about Marshall's (and TJ Maxx and Filene's, too). They don't always have them, but every so often you can find a ton of Wacoals or Mystere or some of the other good brands for the busty in the large sizes. $24 for a good bra is way more doable than $70.
(My suggestion is to go to Nordie's for the real fitting and pick up one bra there, then hit the discount stores until more in your size/style turn up.)
Also, from my own experience, the people who REALLY can't find anything to wear are like size 14-16 -- bigger than many "regular" stores carry, but still smaller than plus. At least, that was my experience shopping when I was busting out of my size 14 wardrobe. I couldn't shop anywhere!
That is absolutely when it's worst for me.
Actually, polling says the righties dig Palin, but the undecideds like Obama/ Biden. Especially women undecideds. So maybe it's not over yet.
I strongly encourage totally ignoring any and all polls for at least the next two weeks. This period (post coventions and vp picks, summer just ending) it's nearly impossible to get anything close to reliable, even by poll standards.

Hee. My sister always says we should be four inches taller or four inches shorter. We have the torsos of women who are 5'10" and the legs of women who are 5'2"
And ion, is WX donefor? Earlier this week there was talk that it was a goner and I haven't been able to find the site - - is it gone for good?
I haven't been able to get on in a few days. It's not looking good.
My friend Claudine (the cupcake lady) has started an online business with her friend selling bracelets strung with semi-precious stones
I'm sure our own beadsters could do something similar, but these are nice bracelets and pretty affordable considering the materials.

User: You have to go and click this checkbox that says, "Allow Unsupported Options", and...
Me: ?!?!?!?
What I'd really love to fit properly is those fitted dresses that zip up the back. I can't remember the last time I wore one of those. Every time I've tried one on, it fits fine around the hips, zips up fine over the waist, and then there's like an eight-inch gap where it won't close behind my chest.
Other problems with large breasts: permanent shoulder dents from bra straps, can't run without a sports bra (so, like, if I'm going somewhere in regular clothes and I see the bus half a block away, and the only way to make it would be by running, I'm just going to take the next bus), any bra that actually does its job also leaves horrible red marks and sores, and, if you're short, just looking horribly out of proportion and weird.
