Not to foment trouble (who me?) or anything, but Aims!
Mine in use, and another view. Some things I learned after years of purse-and-tote, purse-and-briefbag, purse-and-laptop case, are that one bag is better, and a wider bag is easier to find things in than a deeper one.
First pics from the new production of Hamlet in London, starring David Tennant as Hamlet and Patrick Stewart as Claudius.
Humina humina humina... humina!

That's EXCELLENT!!!!!
Sometimes the justice system actually works.

Mmmmmm, tasty! I seem to recall Patrick Stewart playing Claudius before. (I could totally see Gertrude saying, "Murder? What murder? if Claudius looked like Stewart, too.)
Humina humina humina... humina!
I concur! Man, that would be a show to be seen.
Woohoo, Allyson!
I'm packing to drive down to Portland for the Willamette Writers Conference. It's so much better packing for a road trip than a flight! No worrying about the exact size of my toiletries or the ziploc I put them in in case they leak, not having to find space in my suitcase for the stuff I'm going to pick up at Target on the way out of town, knowing the only theoretical limit on my Powell's purchases is trunk/back seat space, etc.
I don't think I'm flying for a writers conference again until if/when I'm the kind of person who gets invited to speak. Fortunately, between them Seattle, Portland, and Vancouver give me plenty of drivable options.

Oh, I'm so relieved, I can't even imagine how relieved you all are.
It's good to know that there's sense in the system.
Since I'm calling the general election with Obama getting more votes, but McCain winning. I looked up the relative values of votes in different states out of pure curiosity.
[link]
Wyoming has the best vote value at %325 more value than the average, while Texas has the worst at %83.
If I get it right, that would mean the popular vote winner will have lost the election twice in the last three elections. But sort of forgotten is that if Kerry had a narrow victory in Ohio rather than Bush having a narrow victory, then Kerry would have won with fewer popular votes and it would be three for three.
I called the primary in 2006, so I figure if I get the general election right, I think I should become a pundit.

Chipping in on 2008 talk.
It's McCain for the Republicans. There's just nobody else in the field.
I'd say it's Obama, Hillary, or maybe Edwards for the dems. I think too many democrats think Hillary can't get elected. If Edwards does have a lady problem then that leaves Obama.
So Obama and McCain.
