I look more rad than Lutheranism

But if it turns out (and this muck would be raked without the help of the democrats) that Trig is Bristol's baby and this is the second stab at covering it up (oops! timely miscarriage!) I am going to say maybe its fair to question whether Sarah Palin is a big fat liar.

I think if Trig *is* Bristol's baby, the truth will slip out, and sooner rather than later. No offense to teenage girls, but if any of Bristol's friends knew she was pregnant with Trig, I can't imagine them all keeping quiet.

My only issue with Bristol being pregnant now is that Sarah Palin is vigorously in favor of making abstinence-only education national policy, but -- look how well that worked in her own family. Bristol is walking proof that abstinence-only education isn't real effective at preventing teen pregnancies.

So true. Particularly with the army of investigative reporters now invading Alaska.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

Bristol is walking proof that abstinence-only education isn't real effective at preventing teen pregnancies.

Well, it really only works with the abstinence part.

"It didn't taste good. It tasted soooo horrible. It tasted like....a vodka martini." - Matilda

Steph, as usual, says what I was going to say. I don't want the focus to be on Bristol, but I do wonder whether she had information about or was able to get birth control. I've seen people saying, "Well, see, she's just like us. Her children make mistakes too." I think there's a difference between children who make mistakes even after they're fully informed and have access to preventive measures and children who make mistakes because they're sent out into the world unarmed.

Also, there's something ooky about the right-to-lifers who are saying: "See, she's one of us. She didn't abort a Down's Syndrome child and her daughter is keeping the child she conceived when she was 16. Yay!"

I think if I was an Alaskan, I would also be a bit put out about the take that Palin and her family are typical Alaskans. "We Alaskans. We kill moose. We eat of the mooseburger. We have lots of sex and make babies."

Greece's financial crisis threatens to take down all of Western civilization - a civilization they themselves founded. A rather tragic irony - which is something they also invented. - Jon Stewart

You know, if they DID have a little "cover up" with Trig I really don't care. Plenty of families have done that and will continue to do so. I mean, in 2008 you'd hope this wouldn't be an issue anymore, but the fact is you're trying to protect the privacy of vulnerable people.

But if you go and run for national office you're disturbingly arrogant if you think you're going to get away with it. At that point you 'fess up and everyone understands.

(Yeah, it think its entirely possible this is just lie no. 2.)

If you're going through hell/keep on going/don't slow down/keep your fear from showing/you might be gone/'fore the devil even knows you're there

I am going to say maybe its fair to question whether Sarah Palin is a big fat liar.

We already know this. She got busted for it in the precursor to Troopergate (said nobody was terminated where upon the terminatees produced letters stating "your employment is terminated") and in her first speeches with her statements about having turned down Federal funding for Ted Stevens' bridge.

This would be a much more explosive example, for sure.

Sir, it's not an offence to let your cat eat your bacon. Okay? And we don't arrest cats, I'm very sorry.

Someone made a little clip of Bullwinkle J. Moose speaking out against Palin. For her stance on abortion.

Cracked me up....

Wait, is this real-world child support, where the money goes to buy food for the kids, or MRA fantasyland child support where the women just buy Ferraris and cocaine? -Jessica

I just don't get how a large political campaign with an army of supposedly savvy PR people all got together and said, "Hey, let's hire the pretty lady with the intelligent design and the stupid!"

Seriously? I mean, you're running for president, you've hired assloads of handlers and such. And this happened? Seriously?

McCain is a maverick. Mavericks don't need all this sissy "vetting" crap. Mavericks make snap decisions, often when they're angry.

But seriously, it appears McCain did virtually no vetting of Palin....

McCain preferred to vet AFTER choosing.
