Cats to become a rabbit should gather immediately now here

I am sort of amused that a (I am assuming) conservative Christian named two of her daughters after TV show witches (Willow and Piper). Also, Trig?!? Like Trigonometry? For a child with Down's Syndrome?

Calli: My people have a saying. A man who trusts can never be betrayed, only mistaken.Avon: Life expectancy among your people must be extremely short.

If the Democrats are smart the will avoid shooting too much at the new shiny target and aim most of their fire at McCain.

hip deep in pie

Someone's got to tell Headline makers that "John McCain taps Sarah Palin" has a whole other meaning.

Also, in the past hour I have seen two different Maine tourism ads, both starring...Canadians. (Two guys I know who were roommates back in university.)

Just call me "Siouxsie Shunshine".

Happy Birthday, Meara!!

(somehow this didn't post when I was on this morning at 5:30)

Candy, in high school, as a band fundraiser, rocked, because yeah, people did buy it right in class.

At my school the kids aren't supposed to sell candy at campus. It has something to do with the contract the food service has. It's a royal pain, though, to make sure the groups that are selling candy aren't selling it during classes. It's frustrating I always feel like, if they don't want them to sell it on campus, don't approve the fund raiser.

Our wings are not tired.

On the name thing...

Trig Paxson Van Palin weighed in at 6 lbs, 2 oz when he was born at Mat-Su Regional Medical Center. Trig is a Norse word meaning "true" and "brave victory." The name is in honor of his great uncle, a Bristol Bay fisherman, while the name Paxson comes from the well-known snowmobiling area in Alaska, which Sarah and husband Todd Palin love.

I choose to believe that the undecided public will view the VP selection as a publicity stunt and that it comes back to bite him in the ass. Alas, history has taught me that I don't often think the same as the general voting public.

Sometimes I think I might just move up to Vermont, open a bookstore or a vegan restaurant. Adam Schlesinger, z''l

One of my friendss tonight was saying that she waso going to vote for Obama, but she's reconsidering that, because a woman vp would be reallly great. She just assoumed that, since Palin is a wonam, she's pro-choice and for womens rights alnd all of that.

And then Ortus came and said "It's Ortin' time" and they all Orted off into the sunset

She just assoumed that, since Palin is a wonam, she's pro-choice and for womens rights alnd all of that.

Since McCain presumably picked her to appeal to ultra right-wingers who think he's too much of a maverick, I doubt this impression will last another news cycle.
