Wesley: Illyria can be...difficult. Testing her might be hard without getting someone seriously hurt. Angel: We'll make Spike do it. Wesley: Good.

“Not dead yet!”

Yay, javachik for time off and for such a FABULOUS reason. (And I absolutely ADORE the Cliff House-- what a beautiful place to celebrate.)

F Alice, C Ozzie, M Gene

(And am I a pervy old lady for thinking his son is seriously hot for such a young one? Probably.)

I will HOPEFULLY finally sitting down and cleaning up the old computer to ship to my brother. But that's been the plan several weekends in a row...

Maybe get some computer accessories. And pants. God, I need pants that fit. Coworker remarked I'd been really dressed up the past few weeks, skirts all the time. Well, yeah, because my pants all fall off.

Fandom means never having to say "But where would I wear that?"

Ignoring the disturbing FCM....I have absolutely no plans this weekend. Weird.

Sometimes I think I might just move up to Vermont, open a bookstore or a vegan restaurant. Adam Schlesinger, z''l

I have no weekend plans, either. Other than possibly stressing over my dissertation while not actually writing anything.

Art Crawl!!!

Hey, javachik- whoo hoo for your cousin and her ff.

Also, ptuie to your job that doesn't give you a normal 5 day work week. (Unless that is your choice.)

What I think I'm doing this weekend:

testing out my new blocking wires on the lace scarf I knit
doing some oh so necessary cleaning
grocery store - must buy food
pick up prescription refills

And then watching tennis when I can.

Just call me "Siouxsie Shunshine".

Draconian Dictator now wants to 'approve' my scripts for the year. I'm thinking of changing my season to: Lysistrata, The Full Monty, Hair, Ubo Roi or other such production. His reactions should be priceless.

The school is promoting a "One School One Book" initiative. One of our graduates (who was one of my students) has published a book on her experiences in the FL foster care system. (The kids think DD is just trying to make himself look good). There are many mixed feelings, from kids and teachers, on the project. Every period we have to read 5 assigned pages and every 15-20 pages we have a reflective journal assignment/discussion to do, too.

So now DD wants to have people tape the readings for teachers who 'don't read aloud well' (yeah), and for students who miss some of the readings because of absences/dual enrollment/vocational classes/etc. Then he got the great idea that podcasting would be perfect. Somehow my name got mixed into this and he wants to 'talk to me' about doing some/all of the reading and being the campus test subject for using podcasting in the classroom. (darn my reading well and love of gadgets)

The irony of his needing me for something yet treating me like crap is amusing. Wonder what he'll do if I say no?

brillig

Yay! I have Monday off! My supervisor forgot it was Labor Day!

The Puritan in me harumphed cautiously and muttered "Holiday pay on top of working that day. Just something to think about."

My Muse of Sleeping In With The Cat smacked the Puritan with a pillow.

The feeling you get when your brain finally lets your heart get in its pants.

I think those are Death is Not an Option, Perkins.

The first one wasn't, necessarily.

Where's Plei? She'd understand.
