Always Anti-fascist!

She did great. And all the Kossacks saw the orange suit and said "Shout-out!"

"And that's why God Almighty gave us fire insurance and the public defender".

This looks promising.

Calli: My people have a saying. A man who trusts can never be betrayed, only mistaken.Avon: Life expectancy among your people must be extremely short.

My god, Hillary would have been an outstanding POTUS.

Any of the Democrats are lesser evils than McCain. Don't think any of them are ready for or have faced the full extent of the mess Bush has left them. (Or maybe they all have, but can't really hint at it because that wouldn't be being positive. And not being positive is practically a criminal offense in the 21st century US. Turn that frown upside down. Or else.)

I must obey the inscrutable exhortations of my soul—Calvin and Hobbs

Hillary's speech was on too late for me (I'm usually in bed by 9:30 EDT on worknights). I'll be looking for it on youtube later today. But I'm glad to hear it went well.

'we all walk this earth feeling we are frauds. The trick is to be grateful and hope the caper doesn't end any time soon"

Olympic sports -- I've always admired the biathlon, which involves transitioning from all-out totally exhausting crosscountry skiing (damn hard in itself) to precision target shooting, as quickly as possible, and vice-versa, several times in rapid succession.

Librarian Warlord

I'm going to have to go find Hilary's speech and watch it for myself.

I've always admired the biathlon

I've always thought that one of the reasons ashtanga yoga made so much sense to me (it's huge on linking a breath to a movement) was because of my experience target shooting and having to pay attention to the inhale/exhale/heartbeat/when to squeeze the trigger. When meetings are driving me nuts and a I need to zone out I will sit there and figure out where my breath & heartbeat are so I'd know when I could shoot a tranquilizer dart into the speaker and get the hell outta there.

I'm not sure it's the most mentally healthy visualization technique out there, but it gets me through.
