Cracks me up that both Dana and shrift are looking so serious and determined.
It's hard work taking a picture in a mirror!

Back:
Whoa!
Front:
Even better.
This picture (ONE blurry picture, which required great pains) will also self-destruct soon:
Cute cut! It's like leaving Houston made you even prettier.
Pretty is hard!
Pretty is hard!
And, yet? Shrift and Dana seem to accomplish it!
I kill plants.
This is me. Someone gave me bamboo (the kind that just grows in a vase with water and rocks and needs no interaction from a human being) and it died. Its not possible but it did.
Oh man. I had Very Yellow Chicken (aka, curried chicken strips,) rice and tomato and cuke salad. And I'm burping curry and cuke.
Once upon a time, I mentioned the fact my mom too had a black thumb. Until she got knocked up and had me. I opined that I'm good with being a plant killer.
Pete, pothos is almost impossible to kill, does not attract bugs, grows in any light and you can train it onto shaped structures or just cut the vines off when they get too long.
If the vines get scraggly, you can cut them off, shove them in dirt and grow a whole new pot. Hardier than a hardy thing.
eta: forgot to mention the common name: Devil's Ivy. heh.
Devil's Ivy. heh.
I think we have a winner.
It really is the non-plant-person's plant.
I currently have 3 pots...all of which came from one stem. When the vines get long, I just drape them around the pot. The thick, waxy leaves are high oxygenators (if there is such a word) and are easy to clean.
Plus the cool name.
