I said I'm sorry. I've made mistakes, but fear was never one of them.

The paiting that the footprints made, I thought they said it was going to tour.

Ah. Thanks, msbelle. I missed that.

I am liking the NBC coverage so far. Fewer human interest and it seems less UScentric so far. And unless I missed it in my fast forwarding, I have not seen the dreaded medal count chart.

I love the medal count chart! It's on my google page!

The pommel horse looks like it was custom built for china -- the base looks all pagoda-style to me.

“Not dead yet!”

We were just checking out her bio! "It says she was born in 1967. That's gotta be a mistake. ...Hang on, she competed at Seoul. The hell?

Her first Olympics was Los Angeles in '84. She was seventeen.

And they did a feature on her earlier in the NBC telecast and they showed her in a sports bra and bike shorts and dayum is she cut.

The Chinese men's gymnastics team is freaky good. I suspect they're droids. I think the guy who just sat on the parallel bars is giving the others false hope.

As competetive as I am, in the olympics I am forever wanting the countries that have never medaled to win. I watch for the unrecognizable flags during swimming heets and cheer for them. Then I also cheer for African nations in almost everything.

Shit's all sorts of different now.

Thank you so much for the birthday wishes! We've spent the majority of the day at a kick ass wedding and now I am exhausted. Yay birthday! I even got a tiara!!

You're welcome!

I think Misty May-Treanor and Kerri Walsh are awesome. I'm also kind of fascinated by the dynamics of a two-person team. The bigger teams seem like they're all put together by committees, and therefore they're not really relying on each other to make it to where they are, though they need each other for gold. But the two-person teams find each other and seem like more of a solid unit. I'm not really sure what I'm saying, except that I'm sort of fascinated by the dynamic.

Also, I'd really like some Chinese food. I miss NY right now.
