I didn't understand the cheerleaders in the high-heeled boots doing the pee-pee dance for two hours during the opening ceremony. What was that about? And what is Beijing going to do with the footprint thing that the athletes were making as they were walking in, with the giant ink pads. Are they going to hang it in the bird's nest or something?

I am liking the NBC coverage so far. Fewer human interest and it seems less UScentric so far. And unless I missed it in my fast forwarding, I have not seen the dreaded medal count chart.
