Mal: Yeah, well, just be careful. We cheated Badger out of good money to buy that frippery, and you're supposed to make me look respectable. Kaylee: Yes, sir, Captain Tightpants.

sara, you type in a box. I'm going out on a limb to say you know how to do that.

You know I'm just being difficult.

Natasha Chart makes a good point on progressives fighting for change in a puritanical society.

Apart from sports, "my secret favorite thing on earth is ketchup. I will put ketchup on anything. But it has to be Heinz." - my husband, Michael Vartan

I missed the Olympics. I can't wait for gymnastics to start, and I need to figure out how to get TiVo back really soon. But it's really making me want to throw on a leotard and head to the gym. It's too bad I was such a horrible gymnast, because I really did love it. I just thought too much, about the wrong things, at the worst possible time, which is dangerous. But I still miss it, even though my memory of all the bruises, sore muscles, and assorted everyday injuries is still quite clear.

I remember the crazy days. 500 posts an hour. Nubmer! Natgbsb

the best laid plans - well the lovely family having mac over tonight were 30 minutes later than they said to pick him up, which kinda messed with plans to make a movie, so I am chillin in a quiet house with a cup of lambic and very soon the olympics will be watched.

I may also ahem some shows.

I look more rad than Lutheranism

msbelle, do you know of hulu.com? You can watch the shows online w/o downloading them. Like the live action Tick, which makes me very happy.

I did not know of it, but from a quick glance - the stuff I may ahem is older than what they have. I am seasons behind in some stuff.

BUT - THANK YOU because now I have a source for weeks of TDS and CR at once. whee! New Sat activity!

“Not dead yet!”

Alternating between pre-season football and Olympics.

I would go get the ice cream, but I am in bed and too comfortable to move. This is highly pathetic.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

Hulu has The Facts of Life! And Fame! Either of which I'd be afraid to watch because I'm sure they're actually terrible, unlike my memories of them.

Why did Darth Vader cross the road? To get to the Dark Side!

Happy birthday, Aimee!

I am having a rough day. We are putting flooring down in Isaac's room and he's freaking out over the change and throwing temper tantrumS (as in plural) over any and everything. And I was going to take them to a friend's house tonight but now DH is running late with his errands so I'm going to be running late to dinner. Sigh.

"I remember when they eventually introduced that drug kingpin who murdered people and smuggled drugs inside snakes and I was like 'Finally. A normal person.'” —RahvinDragand

That reminds me, I need to remember to Netflix The Rockford Files. I saw an interview with James Garner on TCM last night (one of the few actors that I end up liking more whenever I learn more about him in real life), and had this upwelling feeling of nostalgic joy as soon as the theme song started playing.
