Ahrg. Dropped the ball on something. It just completely slipped my mind. Damnit.

I need new pants. It's getting ridiculous. Hate shopping. All but the ones that I quit wearing because they were too small (and that's pretty much one pair)? I can walk out of.

It's only 11:22.

If you're going through hell/keep on going/don't slow down/keep your fear from showing/you might be gone/'fore the devil even knows you're there

Tell me I'm not the only one who skimmed quickly and thought for an instant sarameg had dropped the ball on remembering to wear pants.

I remember to put them ON, it's just keeping them there that's at issue! I need to claim as much credit as possible here, people.

ChiKat beat me to the Car Spike. Oh, well, I'm just sad it's no longer there.

I'm so full of gronk today. I took a half-day yesterday afternoon to take the cat into the vet for a claw-trimming (yay for no longer feeling like I'm visiting the acupuncturist when she decides to knead my stomach), as well as get my laundry done, and ended up falling asleep on the couch around 5:00 and slept until 8:00 (with slightly wrinkly clothes in the dryer).

Then, of course, I couldn't fall back to sleep, so I decided to stay up and clean out my DVR. Taped a few recipes from ATK and finished taping the final four eps of Doctor Who, then fell asleep during the final half hour of the Earth in peril, sometime around 6:30 this morning. Didn't wake up until 9:00, and moved very slowly getting ready for work. Got here at 10:35, and waved goodbye to some co-workers who were taking their own half day and were leaving for the weekend as I was arriving.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

It is so cold in my office, and I am so gronky, I just don't even know. Thanks to Summer Fridays, I'm theoretically able to leave in an hour, but I've been so nonproductive so far, I'd better stay!

So, Clay Aiken and his friend had their baby. [link] Why am I so grossed out by this? It's not like I'm grossed out by artificial insemination in general or among friends! I think maybe I'm just grossed out by Clay Aiken.

Greece's financial crisis threatens to take down all of Western civilization - a civilization they themselves founded. A rather tragic irony - which is something they also invented. - Jon Stewart

Remember that the frontier of the Rebellion is everywhere. And even the smallest act of insurrection pushes our lines forward.

Incredible, yet vaguely disturbing pictures from the opening ceremonies, if you don't mind being spoiled: [link]

You know, looking at all those fireworks, I can't help but think so your air quality is crap, so you put on a show that generates clouds of smoke and ash....
