I wonder if we'll still be calling Jesse "cowgirl" when she is 100 and the computer is taking the posts directly from our brains.

Some people just naturally live down their cowgirl heritage, others, like Jesse, just try very hard.

So you think you had a bad day at work? [link]
That is a pretty bad day. Not to mention all the "careful pressing that button" jokes she'll have to live with the rest of her life.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

uh...shouldn't it be harder to start a plane than flipping one switch??

Seriously. That's nuts.

OK, I whipped up one of the three things on my to-do list. Can I do one more before I leave? Is it possible I could do both of the remaining items?? Only time will tell....

"And that's why God Almighty gave us fire insurance and the public defender".

Nilly, did you know that all of Dr. Horrible is now up on something called Whedontube

Yeah, dudette, I've been meaning to tell you that after Tisha'a Be'Av.

I'm at my parents', where apparently I won't be seeing my sister like I thought I will this weekend, but I just had the most amazing drive back home: sunset, with the new Beck album, some Radiohead and Katamine, and few other Israeli artists on the mix who made it perfect. Sometimes I could have swear I'm actually in my US trip all over again, with the immense sense of freedom and indepedance (on my own, few days after my 22 birthday). And it's so great to finish this drive at home, as well.

Also, I might be needing your helpful tech advice this Sunday.

And, where do you talk here about Dollhouse? Because you see, I have these thoughts, a keyboard, and the will to type them...

Edit: Grammar is for chicks and whimps.

Sir, it's not an offence to let your cat eat your bacon. Okay? And we don't arrest cats, I'm very sorry.

So you think you had a bad day at work?

Oopsie!

Hee!

I swear, it's like we're family around here. I was just talking with my grandmother about how my cousin had such big feet when she was born. My 34 year old cousin. I don't even remember her as a baby! I just know it as a story.

There should be a bank of toggle switches with covers on the ceiling, which progressively louder faked powering up sounds as they are flipped. Not only safer, but much cooler. Come to think of it, that would work well in my Honda as well.

...and lights. Each switch should turn a light from red to green.

It used to be. But now many jet aircraft have an "auto-start" feature that uses a computer to do all the stuff to start up an engine.

This reminds me - once some mechanics decided to move a 747 to a hanger by starting up its engines and taxiing, despite not being trained to do so. Since they were only taxiing, they only started two of the four engines. Turns out that on the 747, hydraulic power for the brakes comes by default from only one engine... yep, one of the engines they didn't start....

Which?

FortiSakharof, Berry Sakharof (which I listen to nonstop the past few weeks - even more than to my usual Dulliverse!), Rona Kenan. Katamine is also Israeli (mostly Assaf Tager), but I think more people knows him outside of the land of milk and honey.
