This is the coolest "watch" evah!

Sublimex is worn on the eye like a contact lens where it periodically flashes the time so quickly that the brain isn’t conscious of how it got the information. The user seems to simply know the time, raising a host of possibilities about how the nature of clockwatching would change.
Andrewes: The idea of having an invisible timekeeper transmitting the time through a subliminal message to the eye is original yet at the same time rather worrying. One can imagine that the time messages would quickly be supplemented with advertisements, perhaps without the user’s consent or awareness. Sublimex is a wearable device that certainly deserved recognition.
Friend: I have to admit, I was waiting for this. The old watch in the contact lens. But the really cool twist here is that it’s subliminal! You just know it’s 8:00 p.m.
I wanna be able to just
know
stuff....
That Sesame Street clip is hilarious, but kind of wrong at the same time.
SERIOUSLY.
I totally agree.
much anti meh ~ma and productivity ~ma for Kat.
I just hate programming.
Kat, help me figure out what in the hell iChat is via my google acct and can I use it (same as my google email)? I swear, I only learn new things if I can't avoid them. Hell, I haven't advanced much beyond when I sent email via a terminal window. And yet I'm a technologist, according to my title. HAHAHA.
Watched a thing on Oprah's ancestry on PBS. One thought is stuck with me, how unremarkable half my "source" was, even though at the time, it was the damn swedes invading and all sorts of slurs. But not enduring. Racism is an ugly creature and it's so pervasive and ...enduring.

DH is having a bit of existential angst. A guy with his kid in the park behind our house asked DH if the little kids playing in our backyard were his grandkids.
WTF? Do we really look that old?
hivemind - comic readers. I got mac some comics a while back and they were "to be continued" but we never got the rest of the series - I have looked on ebay and no luck - they are from 2007 - any ideas?
Ah, no unexpected cavity searches for carrying anti-perspirant, then?
To be fair to security, I too would be a little curious about an unexpected cavity.
msbelle, if a comic series is from 2007 -- "coming soon" might mean later in 2008. Pub dates in a lot of comics companies are a slippery concept. Better tell us which series they are!
My computer, after two long phone support sessions, is still mysteriously rebooting in the night. I foresee having to take it in to MicroCenter where it's still under warranty.
(Incidentally, I've BACKED UP all my important personal files so at least I don't have that free-floating anxiety of DOOM DOOM DOOM to worry at me.)
WTF? Do we really look that old?
Poor Cash's DH. People have kids at a wide range of ages. My sister was a grandma at 39. I'm old enough to be my kids' grandmother. In summary, guy at park = nozzle.
