I can't figure out that Trinny and Susannah color thing. I swear I can wear both black and dark brown, and also pink.
You're probaly a cool and bright then. I'm mid-tones, but can also wear browns if they veer to the cool side, which some deep browns do. And cocoa is supposedly a summer (cool) color.
What's really great about the book that all their charts come from is that they show you what to combine colors with to make less-than-ideal colors work for you.
You really need to see colors next to your face. We decided my sister was a warm and therefore mustard was supposed to look fab on her. She insisted she could never wear it. She bought a short wool jacket in that color and received more compliments on that than anything else.
Before we did the colors, my mom had always insisted on wearing black for dressing up. It wasn't until after she found out she was a fall that she went to buying browns, which worked so much better for her. She still pulls out black occasionally, but I keep telling her to use brown instead.
Yay, Flea family! Now on to the move and all!
It's sure being an Interesting summer for you....
Congrats to the Family Flea.
Deathstar cake with R2units - they're being rather lemming like, aren't they?

I don't think so -- I'm pretty sure I'm warm. I mean, maybe -- I think some of those colors on the page are good for me, but I really think that about brown, too! But then, maybe I'm fooling myself. I should look in the mirror, maybe.

Knowing Jesse, I'd say she could easily be a winter.
But, there are a lot of people who think they look good in black when it's really not their best color.
Maybe when I do juliana's closet overall, you should come and I'll do your colors!
Actually holding things up to your face in good light is key. I took everything in my closet and did that in front of a mirror. I made four piles: def. good, def. bad, okay, and I have no idea. Afterwards, I compared the piles to the Color Me Beautiful Book. The def. bad were mostly fall (and 1 spring) and the def. good (which I didn't have a lot of) were summer. The okay pile was all winter. It was pretty clear.
We have achieved PhD!
WHOO!!!!!
I wouldn't rely on the link to the swatch site. Using just hair makes it very unreliable.
Especially since they don't really have red (not that I expect them to have my unnatural shade, but if I were true auburn or ginger, I'd have a hard time picking).
I can't even really find myself on the Trinny & Susannah thing, though I think I'm a cool & bright. Though, I like black, I feel comfortable in black, so I'm going to continue to wear it even if I'm told not to.
