Maybe when I do juliana's closet overall, you should come and I'll do your colors!
Actually holding things up to your face in good light is key. I took everything in my closet and did that in front of a mirror. I made four piles: def. good, def. bad, okay, and I have no idea. Afterwards, I compared the piles to the Color Me Beautiful Book. The def. bad were mostly fall (and 1 spring) and the def. good (which I didn't have a lot of) were summer. The okay pile was all winter. It was pretty clear.
We have achieved PhD!
WHOO!!!!!
I wouldn't rely on the link to the swatch site. Using just hair makes it very unreliable.
Especially since they don't really have red (not that I expect them to have my unnatural shade, but if I were true auburn or ginger, I'd have a hard time picking).
I can't even really find myself on the Trinny & Susannah thing, though I think I'm a cool & bright. Though, I like black, I feel comfortable in black, so I'm going to continue to wear it even if I'm told not to.
I was obsessed with Color Me Beautiful when I was about 13. I'm a summer. The thing is, it's hard when your personality doesn't match your colors very well. I look absolutely stunning in lavendar, but there are times when one doesn't FEEL like a walking Laura Ashley advertisement, n'est-ce pas?
I feel like Jesse- I can wear dark things, bright things, and warm things-- just not light things. I get the most compliments when I wear brown and orange red, but sometimes when I where blue, fuschia or purple, I also get compliments, although it may just be because those are bright and different colors for me. I need an impartial observer!
I also feel like the last time we had this conversation, Jesse and I were both like--"I can't wear colored pants!"
Clearly, flea, you need to buy the aqua Trixie dress. It's calling you.
Also congrats mr Flea, and the flea family!
The Trixie dress is not built for my telephone-pole figure, alas.
Flea needs to buy the Trixie dress, so when it arrives in September she will remember that it is the PhD celebratory dress, and she will get to be happy twice!
Speaking of color. Last night I replaced a dead compact florescent bulb in our living room ceiling fan. I used a nice modern daylight florescent bulb, but there are three light sockets and the other two still have old CF bulbs. This has turned the living room into a simulator for a planet in a binary solar system. Everything casts two different colored shadows.
