You never know if a girl's gonna say 'yes', or if she's gonna laugh in your face and pull out your still-beating heart and crush it into the ground with her heel.

Jilli, openwork or solid? Long or short sleeves? able to button in the front or not?

Ooooh. Openwork, mid-length sleeves if possible, and at least 1 button in the front?

And a question for you exercise-y types: do tricep dips actually work for toning a person's upper arms? Is there something more effective I could be doing that doesn't involve having weights around?

I’d be lying if I didn’t say that I miss them all tonight…

do tricep dips actually work for toning a person's upper arms?

I find they do. I also do the closed-position push-ups (hands together, fingers and thumb forming a diamond-shape) for the upper arms. Oh! Plank position in yoga is good, too.

I can do that as a variant of doing push-ups against a wall, right? Because floor-type push-ups are Not For Me.

Why did Darth Vader cross the road? To get to the Dark Side!

Could someone please help the nice lady who sometimes skips too much? What is this trixie dress and where can I find it? I need to look and see if I want one.

Now let us crush something soft and watch it fountain blood. That is a girlish thing to want to do, yes?

Yep, or with your hands on a (stable, please!) chair or some other intermediate height -- more resistance than the wall when you're ready to move up, but nowhere near as hard as the floor.

Tricep dips are awesome, IME, but I'm somehow dorkily required to give the standard disclaimers of Way Recommended For Strength But Visible Results Will Vary From One Body To the Next; and No Such Thing As Localized Fat Loss (Even Though Localized Strength Training Works Like Whoa).

Greece's financial crisis threatens to take down all of Western civilization - a civilization they themselves founded. A rather tragic irony - which is something they also invented. - Jon Stewart

What does the Trixie dress usually run?

I wish they had a pink one.

... and thank you, Sue! I was kinda hoping someone would ask, because while I'm unlikely to buy one, I was intrigued by all this talk of polka dots!
