Angel: Eve. So, I guess we should, I don't know, talk? Eve: About what? Angel: About what happened back there with us. Eve: Angel, it's not like this is the first time I've had sex under a mystical influence. I went to U.C. Santa Cruz.

"Look, son, if it's good enough for Shirley Bassey, it's good enough for you."

Happy birthday to a couple of pretties, Ouise and Zenkitty.

Congratulations on the raise, sarameg. Great good news.

I got a random bonus check from my temp agency last week, which was very timely.

New fun thing: Matilda dancing. She bounces up and down and swings her elbows back and forth. Then she throws in a couple hops for good measure.

Life moves pretty fast. You don't stop and look around once in a while, you could miss it.

Back from dropping my niece off at her plane. Had to get up at 5:30, boo. Grace was an WONDERFUL guest. I have had a lot of experience with 13-year-olds from teaching them for several years, and I can say that she is a fine example of the breed. She's bouncy and polite and sweet and funny. Very much like her dad. Unlike her dad, she is game for anything, which made touring her around much fun.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

Is big.

Good job!

Happy birthday Zenkitty and Ouise!

I actually didn't have that bad a time getting out of bed this morning, and if I hadn't hit the snooze button it might have been even easier. But thanks to a strange suggestion from a kinda relative I've managed to make a dent into disturbing dreams, so I think I slept better.

"Wave your hands in the air like you just don't care!" is right around the corner.

I’d be lying if I didn’t say that I miss them all tonight…

Happy birthday, Ouise! Happy birthday, Zenkitty!

hip deep in pie

I just got my promotion and merit raises

Yay.

I am part French (okay, well...one generation removed). Shouldn't I get Bastille Day as a holiday?

Sir, it's not an offence to let your cat eat your bacon. Okay? And we don't arrest cats, I'm very sorry.

Yes.

Also, your crêpe expense should be tax-deductible.
