Fandom means never having to say "But where would I wear that?"

Timelies all!

"I keep to a strict diet of ill-advised enthusiasm and heartfelt regret." Leigh Bardugo

I love that cake.

Shir, I wonder if you can help. I'm looking for a site that does hebrew lettering for my son's and daughter's names (Noah and Grace respectively). Do you know where I might start looking?

"And that's why God Almighty gave us fire insurance and the public defender".

Kat, do you mean lettering as in presenting a name in a bunch of possible fonts to display? (I just don't really know what the term means, and the other meaning I know of doesn't make your request sound logical).

Of course, I can always write in Hebrew the names if it helps.

Our wings are not tired.

and for my utter shocked-self, who gave up about the idea of restoring a relationship she had with her once-best-male-friend

It is good to read about you reconnecting with your friend. It is impossible to know what he was going through when you parted, but it is clear that he has missed you too.

I made pumpkin muffins this morning. They are still in the oven, but the quantity that was left in the bowl was oh so very yummy.

Cats to become a rabbit should gather immediately now here

You know, I am recently struck by how much I like the names Noah and Grace. They are just wonderful names.

Is frozen corn that you buy at the store cooked already? When I used to freeze corn when I was little we only blanched it, but didn't cook it all the way through. I am really wondering if I should cook it in order to make a cold corn salad or not?

I'm terrifically busy with my ennui.

Frozen corn kernels? I'd warm them some way (obviously, since they're frozen), but they should be cooked.

And then Ortus came and said "It's Ortin' time" and they all Orted off into the sunset

I never cook frozen corn (and peas) if I'm going to be serving them in something cold.

Thank you! Sometimes I can't believe how I got to my age not knowing so many important things!

"It didn't taste good. It tasted soooo horrible. It tasted like....a vodka martini." - Matilda

Frozen corn is blanched and flash frozen. I never cook it for salads.

I think that no matter what age you are, you keep coming upon things that you think you should have known.

Sometimes I think I might just move up to Vermont, open a bookstore or a vegan restaurant. Adam Schlesinger, z''l

OK, it seems there was an unconsidered option 3 for my day: go back to bed and sleep until 3:30.
