Off-topic discussion. Wanna talk about corsets, duct tape, or physics? This is the place. Detailed discussion of any current-season TV must be whitefonted.
You can add me to the group who are horrified at the HS students' behavior. Threatening a baby?!? WTF is wrong with people?
I think I'm going to take the kids swimming at G'ma's this afternoon. If Isaac wakes up soon.
Well, I ended up going out to lunch with a co-worker who expensed the meal because we talked about one of our products which is near and dear to my heart. Funny that she expensed it because I always talk about that product anyway.
So ended up with yummy panini from crowded little restaurant in BH.
Ugh. In local news.
We have a thunderstorm here and I'm pan frying sea scallops for dinner tonight.

OMG you guys. This is brilliant. I'm at an outdoor concert for the Bastille Day festival. The singer, a jazz singer in the Edit Piaf vein, is filming the show for a concert video. And a homeless man, all bundled up in 95 layers and carrying big bags, just came and plopped down right in front of the stage and is lying on his back conducting along. He's clearly having a grand time, and consequently so am I. I'd take a picture but it feels rude.
Ugh. In local news.
That's awful, Cashmere. And I want to smite the living fuck out of two of the three commenters on that article. Two young, barely out of college men who are practically still kids are abducted, chained in a basement with their chains rigged up to shotguns pointed at their heads, and sexually assaulted, and people are making cracks about Silence of the Lambs and a possible boost to local tourism? Scum.
Some people just... I dunno - have no empathy? Don't think about what they say?
ION, the Cubs allowed 7 homers? WTF?
Was it here that we were talking about those school programs where cops come in and announce that a classmate has died but it turns out to be a horrible, fake "scare 'em straight" tactic?
I think those cops should be visiting Kat's students to scare the ever loving shit out of them, because those kids actually deserve it.
From Cashmere's link:
"They better have more than a couple of statements that they can't prove," Kryshak said.
Yeah, I think the authorities finding one kidnapped guy chained up naked in your client's house after the other one escaped and alerted them is going to fulfill the burden of proof, Perry Mason. Well, that and your client's statement to police that he knew what he did was wrong.
