I'm fairly certain I said no interruptions.

I remember the crazy days. 500 posts an hour. Nubmer! Natgbsb

I am meeting a friend from college for lunch. She wants to talk to me about my decision to be a single mom. I have no idea what her situation is, if she is thinking about adoption or pregnancy or is already on one of those paths. BUT, she was hard to pin down for lunch because "I hardly ever am able to take lunch, never a whole hour." and I'm hoping not to come off too harsh when I tell her about how much of her life will need to be restructured. Who knows, maybe she has the finances to have a nanny and my path will bear little to no resemblence to hers.

Punishingly Intricate

and I'm hoping not to come off too harsh when I tell her about how much of her life will need to be restructured.

Although maybe this is the sort of information she's looking for, really. Maybe she wants the plain truth, at least as far as you've experienced it?

Sir, it's not an offence to let your cat eat your bacon. Okay? And we don't arrest cats, I'm very sorry.

Flint, Michigan Battles Crack Epidemic

The third most violent city in American had declared war on . . . saggy pants. Below, a helpful graphic from the Detroit Free Press explains the new law.

The saggy pants graphic is just... bizarre.

"This bar smells like kerosene and stripper tears."

Dallas tried to do that. Then they just turned it into a campaign. There's a song and everything [link]

Now let us crush something soft and watch it fountain blood. That is a girlish thing to want to do, yes?

Is there a site you recommend I go read for results?

For today -- it was a really fun finish, but of course nothing's really changing any race outcomes until next week. But I won't spoil beyond that, and it was really more of a "who do I know who might be watching right now?!"

In general, I'm still finding the official site best for results. Yes, it's clunky and incredibly weird, but it has tons and tons and tons of data.

And cyclingfans.com has been incredibly nice to me by offering multiple streaming links while I'm stuck at work -- and, as always, pretty pretty pictures. But they aren't really doing results/recaps.

We're very stretchy. - Connie Neil

Today is going to really suck and last waaay too long. I think I'll be feeling like this by 11:00 tonight.

You know, we could experiment and cancel football.

That is horrible, Kat. I hope it gets nipped.

I’d be lying if I didn’t say that I miss them all tonight…

Jeebus, Kat. I hope those little shits get stomped on hard by the school and their parents.

Life moves pretty fast. You don't stop and look around once in a while, you could miss it.

Kat, that's terrible. I'm glad you reported it and I hope those kids get in big-ass trouble.

So come, my friends, be not afraid/We are so lightly here/It is in love that we are made; In love we disappear

Kat, that's horrible. And disturbing, and just sad.

Also, what Scrappy said.

Tamara, so sorry for your loss.
