I’d be lying if I didn’t say that I miss them all tonight…

Jeebus, Kat. I hope those little shits get stomped on hard by the school and their parents.

Life moves pretty fast. You don't stop and look around once in a while, you could miss it.

Kat, that's terrible. I'm glad you reported it and I hope those kids get in big-ass trouble.

So come, my friends, be not afraid/We are so lightly here/It is in love that we are made; In love we disappear

Kat, that's horrible. And disturbing, and just sad.

Also, what Scrappy said.

Tamara, so sorry for your loss.

"We are the Goon Squad and we're coming to town...Beep! Beep!" - David Bowie, "Fashion"

Kat, what everybody said. Unacceptable.

That man was going to shank me. Over an omelette. Two eggs and a slice of government cheese. Is that what my life is worth?

OMG, Kat. Children often suck and those particular ones deserve to be taken down a few pegs.

"I keep to a strict diet of ill-advised enthusiasm and heartfelt regret." Leigh Bardugo

Sigh. It was just a topper to a day that was otherwise really positive and enjoyable.

In other news, guess what came in the mail yesterday? The shorter OED! I am so excited!

eta Good Lord I'm a nerd.

Good Trouble and Righteous Fights

I would've been excited, too, Kat!

Of course, highlight of my week so far was coming home to a collection of Wellington's letters from 1794-1815, along with a biography of the Marquess Wellesley (i.e. Wellington's oldest brother), so it's possible I'm pretty high on the nerd scale myself.

I remember the crazy days. 500 posts an hour. Nubmer! Natgbsb

I hope those little shits get stomped on hard by the school and their parents.

I would never hold my breath that parents will do anything. I am consistently horrified by what parents deem allowable, and also by their own behavior. Parents meeting at school/afterschool/YMCA are like torture for me, what with the speaking out of turn, speaking over presenters, walking around, cell phone going off/being talked on, children unsupervised and allowed to roam/play loudly/kick chairs, asking questions that have been addressed....

Art Crawl!!!

Kat, reporting those kids was totally the right thing. And woo hoo for the shorter OED!

It's really dark here now. Darn it. Do we really need more rain?

And - I'm finding the Tour de France to be soothing background for knitting.

Ann, that's a ferret.

Good Lord I'm a nerd.

You say it like there's something wrong with that.

As to yelling kids, "Egad" doesn't begin to cover it.
