They want me in a full suit and to fill out paperwork that I shouldn't have to fill out.
Meh. If you have other options, then a rescheduling that never makes it onto the calendar seems the way to go.

Off-topic discussion. Wanna talk about corsets, duct tape, or physics? This is the place. Detailed discussion of any current-season TV must be whitefonted.

gonna dance all night to this DJ.
You're all welcome.
It's crazy, isn't it? It's like smell-based memories for me - mostly an emotional and sense-of-place thing.
absolutely. And sometimes, even though your tastes have changed, the original music still brings back the feelings. Take, for example, Def Leppard's "Hysteria" (Pour Some Sugar on Me, Animal, etc.) I LOVE LOVE LOVE that album. Would put it on my top 5. But, don't like anything they did after that. Did the music get crappy, or did I grow up? Don't know, but you'll pry that CD cassette out of my cold dead hands.
It's why I'm so adamant about making soundtracks when I'm working on a manuscript. I'm like Pavlov's dog without the drooling (most of the time)-- put the music on, I'm right back in the scene/world/character.
And Vortex, I'm that way about Styx's Paradise Theater. I even have one of the original vinyls with the laser etched hologram on the A-side
::is big geek::
Barb, do you often rock the Paradise?
Hmmm... haven't heard that album in ages....
Ah, yes. Ain't that fresh.

I'm getting a lot of interviews on my own, really. We'll see what happens. I may call and cancel tomorrow.
I love that all three of my brother's kids are big fans of 60s and 70s music and mostly hate modern pop crap (I'm thinking Britney, et al here), and my oldest nephew's favorite band is Styx.
I'm learning Eva Cassidy's version, which I like even more.
Love Eva Cassidy. She, Tierney Sutton, and Stacey Kent are my favorite contemporary(ish) standard singers.
CJ loves Styx. Cracks me up. When he was very weeeeeeeee, he loved the intro to Renegade. LOVED it.
