Socks are a running theme throughout the series. They are used as symbols of freedom, redemption and love.

I love that music has that much power.

It's crazy, isn't it? It's like smell-based memories for me - mostly an emotional and sense-of-place thing.

I'll check out "Time is a Healer" - I haven't heard it yet.

"You can't put a price on the joy of not giving a shit." -Zenkitty

I don't know what to do. Nobody else is making me fill out tax forms and take tests in order to find me job interviews. I think I may stick with the recruiters who don't make me feel uncomfortable.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

I think I may stick with the recruiters who don't make me feel uncomfortable.

When you have other options? Definitely.

I am reminded of the "recruiters" who made me dumb down my resume and change my clothes -- into clothes they had on hand. Also they made me cry and tried to tell me I'd never get a job except through them. I was 21, what did I know?

Today is terribly stupid. And long.

I must obey the inscrutable exhortations of my soul—Calvin and Hobbs

They want me in a full suit and to fill out paperwork that I shouldn't have to fill out.

Meh. If you have other options, then a rescheduling that never makes it onto the calendar seems the way to go.

absolutely. And sometimes, even though your tastes have changed, the original music still brings back the feelings. Take, for example, Def Leppard's "Hysteria" (Pour Some Sugar on Me, Animal, etc.) I LOVE LOVE LOVE that album. Would put it on my top 5. But, don't like anything they did after that. Did the music get crappy, or did I grow up? Don't know, but you'll pry that CD cassette out of my cold dead hands.
