What can I say? I'm not into health food.
So, do you also like getting caught in the rain?
Not really, though if it helps, I am into champagne.
Off-topic discussion. Wanna talk about corsets, duct tape, or physics? This is the place. Detailed discussion of any current-season TV must be whitefonted.

sara, that much liquid still does not count as lunch.
Oh lord, that's not lunch! That's the liquids I consume over the course of a day. Lunch is usually a sandwich and a banana.
On the Anne of Green Gables topic: I just started Anne's House of Dreams, and I realized that Anne and Gilbert get married in the morning, have lunch in Avonlea, travel all afternoon to the other side of the island to where they're going to live, are met there by Gilbert's uncle and aunt and Captain Jim, have the dinner that Gilbert's aunt prepared, and then the aunt and uncle and Captain Jim just hang around talking to Anne and Gilbert after dinner. On Anne and Gilbert's wedding night!
PowerAde has HCFS in it, Gatorade does not. Also, the CostCo sports drink is relabeled PowerAde.

That might be why PowerAde makes me feel like crap, in that over-sugared, ready-to-puke way.
We have powdered Gatorade in the house (my DH drinks it at Frisbee) so maybe I'll check it for HFCS and try a dilution of that.
My neighborhood drug store has started carrying some "gourmet" soda, with no HFCS. It's quite nummy. I stopped drinking non-diet soda about 8 years ago because it made me sleepy, but the non-HFCS stuff doesn't seem to do that. Plus I figure I'm morally obligated to buy it....
So going to my eye doctor is almost twice as much as the co-pay for my regular doctor. So I tried calling my regular doctor and they're closed for lunch!
I love both Gatorade and the coconut water stuff. I find them both refreshing and delicious.
There's always Recharge, which is the Non-Coconut Hippie Version of the stuff.
I've mostly sworn off main line commercial sodas (though I'll go with a coke, if nothing else, maybe once, twice a week). I won't buy any other kind of juice beverage unless it is actually 100% juice. I used to drink fruit juice corn syrup cocktails, but I won't touch them any more.
I have almost entirely replaced my soda/soft beverage consumption with Izze sparkling juices. Each serving (1 bottle- 355ml) contains: 130 calories, 0g fat, 20mg sodium, 29g of carbs, all from natural fruit sugars.
Ingredients: pure juice from white grape, apple, blackberry (the flavor I'm currently drinking), lemon and raspberry juice concentrates, sparkling water, citric acid, natural flavor, red grape juice concentrate (for color).
