I've mostly sworn off main line commercial sodas (though I'll go with a coke, if nothing else, maybe once, twice a week). I won't buy any other kind of juice beverage unless it is actually 100% juice. I used to drink fruit juice corn syrup cocktails, but I won't touch them any more.
I have almost entirely replaced my soda/soft beverage consumption with Izze sparkling juices. Each serving (1 bottle- 355ml) contains: 130 calories, 0g fat, 20mg sodium, 29g of carbs, all from natural fruit sugars.
Ingredients: pure juice from white grape, apple, blackberry (the flavor I'm currently drinking), lemon and raspberry juice concentrates, sparkling water, citric acid, natural flavor, red grape juice concentrate (for color).
I think it would have been different if it were the finals, but I don't recall the recent health of the Redwings--is this continued good performance, or a turnaround?
ita, the coach of the Red Wings is a McGill grad, and his lucky tie is his McGill tie.
I had horrible anxiety last night about my sick cat. It's hard when you don't have a diagnosis, but something isn't quite right. This became general anxiety about my life. Which resulted in a sleepless night for me. So I watched a lot of that hockey game. I like to watch sports on low volume because the cadence of the play by play often lulls me to sleep (it comes from having a sports nut dad and a bedroom above the TV)-it didn't work, it totally got me more worked up.
I've been trying to wean myself off pop because I don't need either the sugar or the aspartame. But I really like pop with certain foods. I try to drink water during the day and have Caffeine Free Diet Pepsi with supper.
Speaking of contact lenses, I had my lens case in my hand this morning and I could have sworn I put it in my purse. But no. I wonder where I'm going to find it when I get home this evening.
I seem to have permanently broken up with Dr. Pepper. Thanks to Paul McKenna, no less.
My favorite beverage these days is either orange juice in fuzzy water or orange juice mixed with plain yogurt for the perfect Dreamcicle(tm) experience.
I tried some of that Boylan's natural cane cola, but found they'd apparently replaced the high fructose corn syrup with the taste of ass instead. (I do love the flavor of lemonade sweetened with cane sugar, though.)
My current non-alcoholic beverage of choice is Trader Joe's strawberry lemonade over ice mixed with fizzy water (Whole Foods had strawberry lemon flavored fizzy water, heh.)
On Thanksgiving, my sister makes cranberry juice and champagne cocktails. For the people who don't drink alcohol, she mixes the cranberry juice with one of the lemon-flavored fizzy waters from Whole Foods. Really good either way. Though only the alcoholic one helps get through a family dinner.

Definitely try the Izze's at some point. Nothing but fruit juice. No added sugar of any kind.

Try the Izze sparkling clementine.
Izze needs to send me a freelance marketing fee.
Yeah, I don't drink anything but water, as a rule. Well, coffee in the mornings, that's a given, but other than that? Not so much. If I'm feeling poorly or underfed, I'll get a half-gallon of TJ's fresh-squeezed OJ and chug that, but that's about it.
I'm speaking purely of non-alcoholic drinks, of course.
Alcohol-wise - every mixer that is not soda water or plain water has HFCS in it, unless you're at a snazzy bar that uses entirely fresh ingredients. Cranberry juice, orange juice, tonic water, sodas (except Diet) - the bulk commercial versions of those all have HFCS.
