I’d be lying if I didn’t say that I miss them all tonight…

Miss USA, WTFF?

I have decided that we need a Miss Universe division of the WWE. They've got the costumes and posturing down, we just need to teach them mad fighting skillz.

Yeah, the national costumes bit....I was like "who comes UP with these??? Since when has the national costume of the USA involved a giant snowflake?? Especially if you're from Texas??"

And since when have so many national costumes been so damn SLUTTY?

"Cry havoc and let slip the boobs of war!" -- Miracleman

The national costumes are THE BEST. Was that a snowflake, or was it supposed to be fireworks or something.

And since when have so many national costumes been so damn SLUTTY?

um, did you not realize that this was for a beauty pageant? Oh, and why are so many of the evening gowns so damn ugly?

Do any of these people have children in daycare

Yup, but most of them had spouses that could change thier schedule to cope with it. Most of them go in early around 6:30 or 7:00 (SO does daycare drop off) so they can do daycare pick up. It's what we had to do when it first started because the kids were little.

Sir, it's not an offence to let your cat eat your bacon. Okay? And we don't arrest cats, I'm very sorry.

It's a monsoon out there now. Way too windy to use an umbrella. Let's see - what's the way to get home that will make me the least wet?

I remember the crazy days. 500 posts an hour. Nubmer! Natgbsb

4 x10 workday would be unpossible for single parents. If I were forced into it, I would have to pay someone to either get mac to school each day or to pick him up from afterschool.

What companies should do is allow more telecommuting .

"It didn't taste good. It tasted soooo horrible. It tasted like....a vodka martini." - Matilda

It seems that almost every corporate decision assumes you have a spouse.

My best "the mail is made of fail" story happened years ago. We had ordered a part for typesetting equipment. When it didn't arrive, I got a replacement. About two years later, I got a very battered box *stamped* "Found in postal equipment thought to be empty." It's the fact that it happens so often they need a rubber stamp that got to me.

I guess we could do it that way. We just got into a habit of me doing both drop off and pick up on certain days and DH on others.

ETA not that it's likely to become an issue, with both of us being university employees. Of course, one of the reasons I stay in this environment is it's so easy to put your foot down on family issues.

"What kind of magical sunshine and lollipop world do you live in? Because you need to be medicated."-SFist

France makes me want to cry on every level: National costume, Swimwear, and Evening gown . Shouldn't she have one of the best gowns? That is hideous.
