but NOOOOO, it's 90 degrees here and sunny. WTF, Seattle??!?!?!
I don't know. This is not the weather I ordered, that's for damn sure.
I am having my traditional
omg too hot ooooouuut
dinner of tortilla chips and salsa. It's the only thing that sounds good to me.
I made stir fry for dinner, but I wasn't paying enough attention to what I was doing and accidentally put in the mustard greens that were supposed to go in tomorrow night's dinner, rather than the pac choi that was supposed to go in tonight's dinner. Oops.
Back when my folks and I were looking for a house around 1991, we immediately leaped on the one and only place that we all liked at first sight. Then we discovered (too late) that its doorways were too narrow, the wiring had been done by Rube Goldberg, and my bedroom was 20° warmer than the rest of the house.
Kat, this one is my favorite in that series.
meara, if you had been here, you would have had all the heat, with bonus thunderstorms!
For Pride, here's a collection of gay clips for you: [link]

I assure you, I did not order it either. I think the worst of it broke today for Portland though. It's going to be warm for a while but not this brutal heat.

You looked at our house?!
Amy, I think that might apply to all houses in upstate NY. I live in half a house, and my downstairs neighbor and I are actually quote sure that I am payinbg for a lot of her electricity and she is paying for a lot of my gas!
I am actually trying to get the place cleaned up enough that I can get the landlord over here about the 5 non-working outlets I have.
The house I grew up in was like that too!
Also, Jesse's fav pic is mine, I think!
I am making ice cream today for the first time since summer camp as a kidlet. Just a cheap rock salt and ice maker, but I hope it turns out well.
DH made sorbet with strawberries, a bit of orange juice, sugar, and just a little splash of port.
We survived no AC in church this a.m. but haven't left the house (window AC on first floor!) since. And if this doesn't break soon, DH is going to sleep on the old twin bed in the basement and I'll sleep on the couch, since the cool air from the AC doesn't go upstairs to the bedrooms at all.
