I like the long shorts, as long as they are narrow.
I don't like long shorts, but grumble less if they are narrow. The longest shorts I wear are board shorts, so NSM with the heels, purists will be relieved. And I try and wear them places that don't know board shorts so that it's not immediately apparent how casual they are.
Other than that I wear them more than halfway up my thigh, or just wear a skirt.
If I sit right here in my cube I won't trigger the motion sensors and the overheads will stay off. Nice and cosy, plus I can know when someone's heading my way.
Kat, how do you know about that website?
How gorgeous is this, and doesn't this look tasty?
I had a strange dream last night in which I made my admittedly improbable (even withing the dream structure) singing debut, and then got booted from the gig unceremoniously. Still waiting for that lingering sensation to go away.
I need to work out how to be breakfast hungry before I leave for work, since the cafe downstairs isn't open now, and the cereal I had is not enough. I'll probably order Thai
(again)
for pickup for lunch, but that's a ways a way.
Happy birthday, Hec!
It is pouring here, I think all of my umbrellas are at the theatre, and I really want to go grocery shuping. I wish I had one of those gorton's fisherman's rain hats!

You won't melt! And the groceries were going to get wet anyway.
It's gorgeous here. I have work to do, but at least I can sit on the deck and do it. Eventually. When I run out of internets.
News of me:
So I came home from the F2F to find that the AC was out, the dog was limping, and my dad spilled a cup of coffee on the laptop. Not exactly the stress-free homecoming I was hoping for before going back to work.
However, a strategy of ignore-it-and-it'll-go-away, otherwise known as "I can't fucking deal with this" appears to have worked on the computer and now also the AC. Not so much on the dog, unfortunately. I've upped her meds a bit and am hoping she'll shake it off. She could use some 'ma if anyone's got it to spare.
In better news, in conjunction with my sort-of promotion, I can haz raise! So that's nice. Now I can buy 10% more dog meds. Fix 10% more sibling's cars. Call 10% more HVAC repairmen (though hopefully now that one can wait awhile). But also maybe 10% more buffista or other travel? 10% more tattoos?
Seriously, y'all, this past six months has been the most crazy up and down financially. On the one hand, raise/bonus/Bush's blood money/raise. On the other, root canals, dog emergencies, blown car radiators, the threat of new computers and major household repairs, etc. This can stop any time. I am totally grateful that I'm stumbling into the good stuff as well as the bad. But the whiplash is getting old.
