I would be there right now.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

Ha-HA! I totally did a task that my big boss will appreciate!

You know, we could experiment and cancel football.

I got mine online, ita. I'm not sure they are even in the stores.

Sir, it's not an offence to let your cat eat your bacon. Okay? And we don't arrest cats, I'm very sorry.

We haven't had any wacky cat videos in a while, right? [link]

This cat watches boxing on tv, while standing on its hind paws and batting at the boxers.

Oh well, that's different.

Can I go home now?

Yes.

I'll create a distraction. When I give the signal, run!

See? I gave everybody here an opportunity to tell me what a bad person I am and nobody did, because I fuckin' rule.

Hec, check your email.

So, I've been super-productive this morning despite approximately 3 hours' sleep and being 40 (well, actually, not for another two hours yet, but still). Can I go home now?

Itemized birthday well-wishers thank-yous to follow, after I get myself another cup of coffee and stop blubbering like an overtired overemotional fool about how wonderful all of you are.

Good. I'm sure that this forecasting system can figure out how to work properly without me. Isn't that what IT is for?

Coding and Sleeping

In non-cat news, we got a new-to-us car. A 1999 Nissan Sentra GXE, not very exciting but cheap enough to pay cash for. My wife is happy to have something small and fuel-efficient to drive, her last fillup recorded 34.5 mpg in around town driving. She also likes that it has all the power stuff including power steering which our Honda lacks (I love my little Honda's unassisted steering).

This replaced her minivan which is a nice and useful vehicle, but even before the latest surge in gas prices, she didn't want to drive it much because of cost and environmental impact. I really like not having to use my little 2 door hatch as a family transport which is what was happening.

We still haven't totally decided between keeping the minivan for occasional use or selling it. When it is useful, it is really useful.

It looks like this one, only silver and manual instead of automatic.

The headlights on ours were all hazy too, maybe it's a Sentra thing, but a little polish cleared them up.
