In non-cat news, we got a new-to-us car. A 1999 Nissan Sentra GXE, not very exciting but cheap enough to pay cash for. My wife is happy to have something small and fuel-efficient to drive, her last fillup recorded 34.5 mpg in around town driving. She also likes that it has all the power stuff including power steering which our Honda lacks (I love my little Honda's unassisted steering).
This replaced her minivan which is a nice and useful vehicle, but even before the latest surge in gas prices, she didn't want to drive it much because of cost and environmental impact. I really like not having to use my little 2 door hatch as a family transport which is what was happening.
We still haven't totally decided between keeping the minivan for occasional use or selling it. When it is useful, it is really useful.
It looks like this one, only silver and manual instead of automatic.

The headlights on ours were all hazy too, maybe it's a Sentra thing, but a little polish cleared them up.
I have a grey '99 Sentra, too! My car's name is Melky Car-brera and I loves it, I do. Great mileage, comfy to drive, and very reliable. It isn't very zippy, but I only notice that when pulling onto a freeway.
Not cat videos, but hilarious in that watch from the hall kinda way.

Jezebel has the complete transcript of Dmitri's douchetastic voicemails to Elegant Olga. I'm shocked as to why Olga never called Dimitri back. I mean, he called her "elegant" several times! Any dude that calls me "elegant" is definitely the one.

My wife is really liking it so far. She wanted a Honda, but they are really expensive on the used market. I love that it has a timing chain instead of a belt. That saved us from having to immediately take to a mechanic to replace the timing belt, like we'd have to do to every Honda we considered.
