If I want to become a cloud of bats, does each bat need a separate vaccination?

People, you need to talk more. I'm going to have to start grading if you don't distract me.

Okay, here's the (very short) story behind the Cheerios incident.

Now that I'm not worried that D will fall down the step or pull a chair over on top of himself if I leave him alone for 5 minutes, I've been more relaxed about not putting him in the playpen while I make his breakfast on the weekends. Which is what I was doing today (toasting a piece of banana bread) while I thought he was playing with one of his board books in the dining room. I should have known something was up when it suddenly got very quiet...and then I heard crunching noises...and he had managed to reach the box of Cheerios I thought was on a too-high self, empty the entire box onto the floor, and was happily shoving them into his mouth by the handful.

Tomorrow morning, he's back in the playpen.

You know, we could experiment and cancel football.

All I have been able to accomplish today is programming the DVR for the next week. It's something.

Now tagless for your comfort.

Last time things Got Too Quiet around here, Owen was brushing his teeth with toilet water.

I bought a new table & chairs today. Also priced some deck furniture and grills.

I want a deck. I didn't think I would miss one when I moved into this apt, but now I have nowhere to BBQ and that makes me sad.

We desperately need to clean the back patio. It's so very ugly right now, and it used to be such a sanctuary. The problem is that we really need to spend a little money to get it looking good again. Feh. Money.

I think I'm going to order these string lights for the umbrella we're going to get.

The feeling you get when your brain finally lets your heart get in its pants.

I was asleep. Now I'm not.

The last natter died. I went shopping for shoes and other things, because it is sunny and 75. I returned with shoes and scotch, and then finished reading Bellwether. Then I had ice cream.
