Right. Piano. Because that's what we used to kill that big demon that one time. No, wait. That was a rocket launcher.

Sir, it's not an offence to let your cat eat your bacon. Okay? And we don't arrest cats, I'm very sorry.

My boss (the one in the motorcycle accident) has a broken neck. Fractured, actually, so he doesn't need to wear a collar. What's weird is that he had bruises all over his chest and the ER didn't bother to take chest x-rays. So now he went to his doctor, who discovered he has three broken ribs. Oh, and his real doctor gave him pain meds, which the ER didn't do.

We're baffled as to why the ER didn't discover the broken ribs. A similar thing happened to my sister's GF, who broke her back in a car accident - the ER in New London, WI failed to discover this. Instead, a nurse told her she was a big baby (or WTTE) for complaining of back pain.

WTF, ER?

Paradise Lost

ADAM: Paradise has arbitrary dietary restrictions?

DEVIL: They're really more like guidelines.

GOD: Incorrect.

Wow, Jesse, that sucks! I suppose doing a halfass job isn't really a good answer either. Yeesh.

A fractured neck, tommyrot??!?!?! Is that...is he going to be OK???

I am done with Day 2 of the training thing! Today had stuff I didnt' know (as opposed to yesterday, which was mostly stuff I'd learned elsewhere). Sadly, today also was the day I was seriously seriously dozing off most of the day.

Today also involved finding out I may be heading back to Vegas...my site there might've found somebody. The annoying woman I was there with before continued to condescend to me. Luckily, all of my other coworkers continue to be pretty cool.

Must call my sister back and tell her I'm done for the day, but then we have to do dinner with our parents, adn I'm really not feeling ready for that. Sigh.

Yeah. I mean, they let him leave the hospital a few days ago, and he's out and about....

eta: Oh, we went over his bike, looking for all the school bus-yellow paint marks on it. (Yep, he hit a school bus that ran a stop sign.)

Days shrink and grow cold, sunlight through leaves is my song. Winter is long.

Yep, he hit a school bus that ran a stop sign.

That's... I have no words for how ironic that is. I mean, not very ironic when your neck and ribs are broken and your bike is wrecked. Still. The one thing you nevereverever want to do is hit a school bus. That's like, the worst ever. They throw you under the jail for that.

But the school bus *ran a stop sign*? That's...like a hall pass, or something.

Life is weird, man. I hope he heals up with no complications, and somebody's insurance pays for the bike without his premiums going up. Damn.
