I'll just jump in my time machine, go back to the twelfth century, and ask the vampires to postpone their ancient prophesy for a few days while you take in dinner and a show.

Holy moley, that was some good Nattering last night! Awesome.

Agreed. Sorry to have missed it (and sorry Victor missed it).

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

Thanks, guys. My head does feel decent right now so it's a matter of learning how best to take these meds. Next time I'll try going to sleep before they kick in--falling asleep is made more difficult when you want the planet to go up in a ball of flame. It distracts so.

Hil, Kat gave me Preggie Pops to help with my upset stomach (which I now see are available in all sorts of normal places--hmm...), and since I'm not sold on the ingredients helping (well, not as fast as help seems to kick in), I wonder if it's the action of sucking on the candy that soothes.

Might help, if that's the sort of unrest you're having.

Remember that the frontier of the Rebellion is everywhere. And even the smallest act of insurrection pushes our lines forward.

Kat gave me Preggie Pops to help with my upset stomach

You'll want to avoid these pops, though.

I wonder if it's the action of sucking on the candy that soothes.

Probably. At least for me it is.

oh joy! Oh Rapture ! I have a brain!

It also keeps your mouth moist, which is critical for keeping things in my stomach.

I recommend complex coloring books and colored pencils as distraction therapy. It is really good when your brain is stupid ,but needs occupation. I use them a lot when I have bad upper respiratory infections and I want to do something.I imagine if I could draw that might also work. Except when I am that stupid,I can't really do much that involves thinking,so coloring works

Because books.

I love to color when I'm stressed. Colored pencils and a new coloring book, or one of those geometric design workbooks (I think they were called Altair Designs when I was a kid). Very calming. And fun!

"You can't put a price on the joy of not giving a shit." -Zenkitty

Around 4 o'clock yesterday, one of our IT guys took remote control of my computer and asked me to yank the network cable. Virus outbreak on our company network, oh joy. Please note that I didn't have a chance to e-mail or save the Huge Technical Manual to a network drive. Then, last night, as I was trying to send a couple of important e-mails, home internet went out. I was not amused.

This morning, I arrived to find IT guy had locked my computer. It took an hour for me to get ahold of someone to tell me if it was okay to use my machine again. Meanwhile, I had been sneaky and logged in anyway, in order to submit Huge Technical Manual to supervisor so they can start the bonus process rolling.

Now, I am high on expired DayQuil, and after lunch I may drag myself under my desk to die.
